Hello,

Try the solution following (Windows only):

  1. On the keyboard, simultaneously press the Windows logo button and R. The Run window then opens.
  2. Type printui /s /t0, then press Enter. The Print Server Properties window then opens.
  3. Click on the forms tab, then check the Create a new form box.
  4. Check the Create a new form box.
  5. type the name you want in the Form name: field.
  6. Facing Unit:, select English or Inches.
  7. In the Width field, type 4.00in, then in the Height field, type 11.00in.
  8. Click on OK.
  9. Open the software from which you want to print this label and select the format you just created.
  10. Try to print.

I have an ethernet cable to plug into the printer (since it appears I cannot use wirelessly when computer is on ethernet) but I need some kind of adaptor. The port on the printer is for a USB. I do not want to connect via USB. The only adaptors I find  will not fit into the port on the Envy 5055 (is it a USB 3.1 port?)

Hi

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Check for any jams inside the printer and reinsert the ink cartridges.

Refer to step 1 in this document.

 

If the issue persists, perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve 0x errors.

With my  HP Officejet 4630e all- in-one series  printer, there's a delay of 20-30 minutes between copies. The 1st copy comes out right away but the 2nd and 3rd copies takes forever….. Sometimes  I ask for 1 copy and 2 copies come out. can anyone help

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. As you are using an Android mobile, HP Print and Scan Doctor will not work on it. This diagnostics application is only for Windows PC.

 

Print a Printer Status Report to check the level of ink

Press and hold the Cancel button  for 3 seconds.

A Printer Status Report prints.

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to identify the defective ink cartridge.

 

Install HP Smart app to print and scan from your Android mobile. You may also check the ink levels on this app.

Click here to download and know more about the app.

 

If the issue persists, perform the steps mentioned in this document.

Hi,

The printer does not support such a size.

 

The printer supports 76.2 to 127 mm (3.0 to 5.0 inches) wide and 127 to 482.6 mm (13.0 to 19.0 inches) long custom sizes, an 11 inches long paper is not within the supported range of the printer.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Using Hotspot to connect the printer and the PC is not recommended. It may not work. 

 

You may use the USB cable connection. Connect these two devices via USB cable.

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue on the PC

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

 

Unplug the USB cable between the printer and the PC, Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Try printing.

 

Refer to this document for more assistance on connecting the printer using a USB cable.

Can't find any troubleshooting pages to test with in the latest HP 5510 App

I can't find the usual pages to test with in the latest and greatest HP Smart app for my 5510.

 

I need to clean the print heads, etc. as I'm sure my issue will be resolved with this.  I've looked where the pages used to be but can't find them.

 

I can find the test print but I get a page with a red (faint) image in the middle of it and that's it.

 

I print so rarely that to keep the print heads primed I should print something once a week.  Well, I usually don't. 🙂  I've probably waited since early December to print anything.

 

So, I'm certain the other colors which aren't working will work once some level 1 and level 2 cleaning and print head cleaning happens.  But ... where'd these pages go?

Performing an OOB reset on the printer may help to bypass the use of setup ink cartridges.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

  • The ink cartridges that go with the printers are setup ink cartridges that are designed to initialize the printer. These ink cartridges are not available in local stores.
  • Performing an OOBE reset on the printer may help.
  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

Re: 3x5 index cards printing slightly skewed

Unresolved Jam in the ADF of my Office Jet HP Pro 8060 Plus printer

I have done every trouble shooting suggestion to clear the jam in the  ADF of my OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus Printer. When I attempt to fax or copy a document ( which is seen when in the tray) the paper is accepted 75% of the way over the roller and then it pulls  to the right. and jam. I removed several small bits of paper from behind the rollers but it did not resolve the jamming. The regular printing function is excellent and THIS is my only issue. There are also no unfamiliar sounds coming from the unit.

Is it worthwhile to bring it in for  repair service?

I recently moved. As a result went from my own Netgear router to router provided by cable company. When I tried to connect the printer wireless system it would print. Kept getting an error report on printer network. After running a lot of troubleshooters from Microsoft and HP I still can't print wireless. Works fine on USB cable. The computer lists the IP number as identical too the IP number that the printer prints out except the last two digits are different. . Printer says its connected to wireless network. Computer is connected to wireless network. I have manually reentered both IP but they don't stick. The only solutions I find in the community that worked are from MAC's. Seems like it should be something simple this not very computer savvy operator could do but I need help. Would really like to move printer to a more convenient location.
