Hi

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

HP Easy Scan is not yet compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. We're actively working to restore complete functionality. I suggest using HP Smart app or Apple Image capture to scan from your MAC. Kindly refer to this document to know how.

Refer to this document for more info on HP Easy Scan.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Try to access the EWS page of the printer to check the connectivity between the printer and the PC

  • Obtain the IP address of the printer. Make sure the ethernet cable is connected. Use a private network. A public network may not work.
  • Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
  • If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
  • Go to Tools > print a test page.

Kindly refer to the steps mentioned in this document to know how to setup the printer on a Wired Network.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Can't print after setting up printer.

I've set up my Envy 5032, following all instructions. Printed alignment page & registered for instant ink as per instructions.

Now I can't do anything as display says: "Only one set of instant ink ready cartridges can be used in a printer. Remove and replace with other cartridges." It's only printed the alignment page!

What do I do now as virtual agent is useless?

I wish it was as simple as cleaning the print heads.  Obviously, I didn't describe the problem correctly.  Here's a view of a printed test page that I got with the sick printer:

I already have tried these methods several times but nothing happens. So ,is there any other solution to the cartridge problem except buying a new one because I bought them 2 months ago and ink is also fine.

Card Stock use

I have asked the question before, but people are not reading it correctly, I think.  My question is:  Why can card stock be used only in Tray 1 when COPYING, but can be used in Tray 2 when PRINTING greeting cards from the Internet?  Obviously Tray 2 CAN handle card stock.  I am a computer consultant and cannot understand why the software can't be changed to  let the printer COPY onto card stock in Tray 2 when PRINTING supports card stock in Tray 2!  To my logical approach, this appears to be a software programming glitch that can be easily remedied.

Please print a Quality diagnostic page and let me know how it prints

  1. Load plain white U.S. letter or A4 size paper in the tray.

  2. On the control panel home screen, press the Setup icon .

  3. Press the button  next to the Down Arrow  until Reports displays next to OK.

  4. Press the button next to OK to select Reports.

  5. Press the button next to the Down Arrow  until Print Quality Report displays next to OK, and then press the button next to OK. The report prints.

IMHO. The tray 2 is designed to support 60-105 gsm paper, card stock is heavier than that and it should be used from tray 1 that is how the manufacturer planed this device to be used.

The tray 2 can handle paper heavier media like card stock, but it's not recommended, internal printer settings in factory disable copying on card stock from tray 2.

Now to illustrate the best I can, you may like my comparison but you don't need to like it.

You have a sports car ( imagine sports car to be tray 2 on the printer) would you drive your sports car offroad or on heavier terrain ( imagine offroad to be cardstock paper) ?

You could drive a sports car offroad it would drive but for how long before something happens to it or breaks down.

You have an SUV or a pickup truck 4x4 ( imagine SUV to be tray 1) you can drive your SUV offroad and on street without problems because it can handle both terrains ( imagine offroad to be cardstock paper and street to be plain paper).

Now imagine your sports car has a road detect sensor that stops him going offroad. That sensor prevents damage on the vehicle and provides customer quality long driving experience.

Hello,

Try the following solution:

  1. Leave the ink cartridges in the printer.
  2. On the front panel of the printer, press the location of the back arrow four times (the arrow is inactive).
  3. A hidden menu will appear, click on Support Menu.
  4. Scroll to System Configuration Menu, and confirm with OK.
  5. Scroll to Hardware failure status, and confirm with OK. hardware failure status: Clear. Press OK to Clear. will be displayed.
  6. Press OK to show hardware failure status cleared. Press Cancel to continue.
  7. Press the cross (X) three times on the control panel screen and click the back arrow once to exit this menu.
  8. Restart the printer.

If the problem persists, I invite you to go to your dealer to replace the printer with a new one with ink cartridges included.

If you still have the same problem, I recommend you to Contact HP in your country/region.

I am at your disposal if the needed.

Best regards,
