Re: error message hp envy 4512 no longer available
Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue.
Let's try these steps -
Step 1 Add the printer to the Chromebook -
Connect the printer to your Chromebook with a wireless or USB cable connection to complete the setup. No drivers or apps are required to set up your printer.
Update the Chromebook to the most current version of Chrome OS.
Confirm the printer is turned on, ink cartridges are installed, and plain paper is loaded in the main tray.
Connect the printer USB cable to the Chromebook, or for wireless printing, continue with these steps to connect the printer to the local Wi-Fi network.
Printers with a touchscreen control panel: On the printer, select the Setup, Network, or Wireless menu, select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then follow the instructions to connect the printer to your network.
If you do not know the login information for your network, go to Finding Your Wireless Password.
Printers without a touchscreen control panel: Press and hold the Wireless
and Cancel buttons at the same time until the Power light flashes, and then wait for the Wireless light to flash. For Tango printers, press and hold the Wireless button on the rear of the printer for five seconds until the Edge lighting flashes blue.
Within two hours, press and hold the WPS button (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) on the router until the connection process begins. The Wireless light on the printer stops flashing when the connection completes.
On the Chromebook, click the clock in the bottom right corner, and then click the settings icon
.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Advanced.
Scroll to the Printing section, click Printers, and then click Add Printer.
Click your printer name, and then click Add.
Step 2 Print from the Chromebook -
Print photos, documents, webpages, and emails through the Chrome browser and supported apps.
Open the item you want to print.
Click the Chrome browser settings icon
, and then select Print.
Next to Destination, click Change, and then select your printer.
Change any print settings, and then click Print.
Additional install and setup options
Use these additional options to print from a Chromebook to an HP printer.
HP Print for Chrome app: Supports printing through the Chrome browser to USB and network connected printers. Go to Printing with the HP Print for Chrome App for more information.
Google Cloud Print: Print from anywhere from any web-connected computer or mobile device. Go to Connecting and Using Google Cloud Print for more information.
Wi-Fi Direct printing: To print wirelessly without joining a local Wi-Fi network, go to Printing with Wi-Fi Direct.

Re: HP 3830 Won't Print in Color
Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue.
To better assist you -
1.) What's the application that you are trying to print from?
2.) Have you tried printing from a different application from your Mac?
While you respond to that, I'd suggest that we try updating the Mac. Refer to this document for steps - How to update the software on your Mac
Also, try updating the printer's firmware. Here's the document with step by step instructions - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue still persists, try adding the printer as AirPrint. Follow these steps -
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add. Select AirPrint from the Use menu
6.) Try to print.

my old printer doesn`t accept after update ink cartridges from an other label
Hi,
I have an old printer from 2011 HP Photosmart Plus B209 Ser.No MY99M2D0QM.
I do updates. There are still updates (somebody told me, since 2016 there are not). Look here, it came after christmas 2019,
Before three month I did an update and since than, the printer doesn`t accept ink cartridges from an other label. From an other label I used the same one everytime. With the original ink cartridges it works good.
It is not allowed to manipulate my printer in this way, because it is older than 2016. There was nothing written on the carton/package, when I bought it, that it will not accept ink cartridges from an other label.
I am very disappointed. Now the german communitiy is cancelled.
Do you have a solution?
If not, my next printer will be from Canon!

Hi @Jatar
Let's try these steps -
1) Take out the cartridges.
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

If issue still persists, id suggest you to Un-Install the printer software from you PC, download and install the printer software using the below links.

Re: HP Envy 5546 won't print in colour
Hi,
Thanks for the advice. As my printer prints in colour when photocopying or printing a test page I'm not sure why the solution might be that it is out of colour ink? I have checked the settings and can confirm it is not set to print in greyscale.

2. Look for HP Printer software.
3. Right-click to uninstall.
4. In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.
5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10. Select Ok.
11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13. Restart the computer.
14. Download and install the software and drivers from here for Windows 10 (64-bit).
15. Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know how that goes 🙂

Re: Display not operating
Hello,
This could be a potential hardware issue or just a display connectivity cable problem.
Look under the touchpad and fiddled with a small black plastic cover (presumably where the wiring from the main printer body enters the touchpad.
You may refer to the video till 1:25 minute time frame.
