Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the print quality issue.
To better assist you -
1) What's the application that you are trying to print from?
2) Are you experiencing the same issue while making a copy as well?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps -
Check the ink levels -
1.) Turn on the printer.
2.) Search Windows for your printer model name, and then click the printer name in the list of results. Estimated ink levels display on the HP Printer Assistant home screen.
If the ink level is low, replace the ink cartridges and then try printing. If the ink level is fine, print a Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -
1.) Load plain paper into the input tray.
2.) Search Windows for your printer model name, and then click the printer name in the list of results.
3.) Click Print & Scan, and then click Maintain Your Printer.
4.) On the Device Services tab, click Print Quality Diagnostics Page.
Evaluate the print quality report for defects, refer to step# 9 to 13 from this document.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

false paper jam can't be cleared on HP Officejet Pro 8620, after trying everything suggested, multiple times. Have reinstalled all the software & firmware as applicable. When doing a troubleshoot check via Devices and Printers, message says "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem'. I've redone all the requested checks, turned the printer on & off - both multiple times!!! Please help if you can. If not, it's a two hour trip, each way, for me to get it assessed professionally.
Hi, I am trying to update the firmware on OfficeJet 4650 AIO, the update downloads OK, printer attempts to install updated firmware but install fails. I have tried with wireless and USB connection, both direct from printer touch screen and via built in web server. Current firmware installed is

Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the connectivity issue.
To better assist you -
1) Are the printer and Mac connected to the same network?
2) Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? Or, maybe connected through an extender?
3) What is the distance between the router and the printer?
4) Is there an antivirus software installed on your Mac?
To isolate the issue, please perform a ping test and share the results-
a) Obtain the IP address of the printer by clicking on the Wireless icon on the printer.
b) On the MAC Go to Spotlight > search for Network utility > select Ping tab > enter the IP address of the printer in the box.
c) Check the second box that says Send only > 10 pings.
d) Click on ping > Check the results at the end if any packets are lost.
Note: There should be 0% packet loss
Also, check with your Internet service provider if your router is able to forward 'Bonjour packets'. Bonjour locates devices such as printers, other computers, and the services that those devices offer on a local network using multicast Domain Name System (mDNS) service records. The software comes built-in with Apple's macOS and iOS operating systems.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer uses HP 63 ink and HP 61 will not be compatible.
I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this, if the inks were purchased directly from HP or contact the store.

Do they use the same ink? Not ink cartridges, but actual ink?
Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "Print Jobs Stuck in Print Queue".
Let's try these steps to clear the print queue -
1.) Close Apple Image Capture, HP Easy Scan, and HP Scan, if they are open.
2.) Click Finder, select Applications, click Utilities, and then double-click Terminal.
3.) Type Cancel -a, and then press Enter.
4.) Close the Terminal window, and then restart the computer.
5.) Try to print.
If you are presented with the same error, remove any duplicate listing of the printer using these steps -
1.) Search the Mac for Print, and then click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners in the list of results.
2.) Find the printer names that match your printer from the list of devices.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list. Leave one 'idle' printer in the list that matches your printer if available and use this printer as the Default printer.
4.) Try printing again.
If the issue still persists, try adding the printer as AirPrint -
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add. Select AirPrint from the Use menu.
6.) Try to print.
You may also try updating the Mac. Refer to this document for steps - How to update the software on your Mac
and try updating the printer's firmware. Here's the document with step by step instructions - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
