Appreciate all your efforts in the troubleshooting steps.

 

Are you using genuine HP ink cartridge?

I would personally suggest you contact our HP phone support for one on one interaction. 

If your product is out of warranty, then remember to choose the paid options to get the tech support number.

 

They might have multiple options to help you on this.

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

 

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Step 2. Sign in / sign in as a guest

Step 3. Enter the product number or select to auto detect

Step 4. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 5. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

 

Keep me posted, how it goes! However, I'll try and follow up in next 24 to 48 hours to doublecheck on the issue.

65lb cardstock wont feed, then jams envy 4520

My brand new Envy 4250 prints on regular paper just fine. I'm trying to print wedding invitations on 65lb cardstock (it claims it can support 110lb, so it should be no issue.) It printed 2 pages on the 65lb cardstock, and now it won't fully feed the paper through, resulting in a jam every time. Help?! Time is running out!

-I've gone though all the trouble shooting, installed driver after driver, tested, retested, and still won't print. I bought it specifically for this, and it won't cooperate.

Hi,

I triedl all your suggestions and none of them worked for me.  I thought initially I had a bad black ink cartridge so I returned it and got another one, however, when I try to print anything the page is blank.  It seems like the ink is not going through.  I did all the troubleshooting, cleaning  and still nothing.  Is there anything else I can try?  On youtube someone suggested taking the part that holds the ink cartridge out of the printer and running it under warm water.  What do you think?

My wife figured out a way to print on 7.5" x 4.75" envelopes. Place the envelope at the bottom edge of a 8.5" x 11" piece of paper with a small piece of tape with the face up. Then flip the 8.5" x 11" piece of paper over face down in the printer and print away. Worked fine except I had to do this with each envelope separately. Time consuming but worked.

Printer will not respond to print command

Spectrum just installed a new modem and router for me. I can now use my pc and cell phone, so they did the installation correctly. But my HP wireless printer no longer responds to print commands. I have turned it on and off, cleared the printer queue repeatedly, nothing works. I also tried attaching a cable to the pc and the printer still does not respond to the print command.

After changing both color and black ink cartridges my printer is only printing top half of words. I’ve cleaned and aligned and made sure cartridges were properly installed without resolution.  Please advise.

As is out of the office today, I'm replying to you. I truly appreciate your efforts and patience.

 

Did the printer go through the alignment process after installing a new ink cartridge?

Is the printer able to make a photocopy successfully? If yes then it indicates that the printer and ink cartridges are all fine. 

 

The print head cannot be cleaned manually by taking it out. However, if you have already performed the steps as described in the link (https://hp.care/2Et7X9g) shared in the earlier post and if the issue persists then it indicates towards a print head failure. In such a case you may reach out to our HP phone support team to check the available service options.

When i go to connect the printer to my lap top through the setup wizard it says to connect the printer through usb even when the printer is plugged into the computer through the cord

Hi turned on my computer and printer today after weeks of inactivity to find I can't print anything, HP has dumped my login info out of their system, my printer is out of warantee and I can't print anything.  Any solutions welcomed.

I just started using my printer again after 4 years. When I logged on and updated it, I found that all of my free printing was used and gone. Is there a way to get any of the free printing time back since I did not use it?

Hello again Kelly,

I haven't reviewed my threads for a couple of days.  Thanks for the reply, it's helpful if others are interested.

 

It appears that this problem of not printing in color, etc. is (sometimes) resolved by uninstalling and downloading the software.  My initial situation was different, but I never was able to get the computer to "find" the software, even though it will apparently download (mine is a 5663).  HP corporate is STUPID!

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are getting carriage jam error message on your HP Envy printer. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you recently made any changes on the printer before the issue started?

Have you checked for any obstructions inside the printer?

Are you able to move the carriage freely?

 

In the meantime, let's try these steps here: 

 

Perform a Hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

 

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

 

Alternatively, I would suggest you follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP ENVY, DeskJet Printers - The Resume Light and Ink Alert Lights Blink

 

If you have followed the steps suggested and still having the issue. I would personally suggest this could be a possible hardware failure with the printer. I would recommend you contact our HP phone support for further assistance.

  • Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
  • Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
  • Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
  • Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.

If the unit is under warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty should take care of it for you.

 

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient.

getting a paper jammed error, but it seems to be a cartridge jam

The control board is flashing a paper jam message, but the cartridges don't go to center when I open the upper door. Doesn't have any paper thats jammed.  Have checked front and rear doors.  Seems to be more of a cartridge jam

My printer prints out a test page just fine but won't print from the computer. It says it has sent the document to the printer. There is no error message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.  I followed the instructions in your post to the drivers tab and tried to remove the driver. I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. There is a choice between removing the driver only and removing the driver and the driver package.  I tried both but got an error message with both. When I tried to remove the driver only. the error message said "Unable to remove HP OfficeJet Pro 8710x64 Type 3 - User Mode. The specified driver is currently in use. However the printer is not connected to the computer." Please advise.

I am on a occasional printing plan (50 pages per month).  Why am I  not getting any roll over pages on my account?  I should have at least 157 pages on my Roll over. Can you please update my record to show my roll over pages. Thanks...

Can the HP Envy 5030 All-in-one print on custom paper sizes?

Hey!

 

I'm looking at buying an HP Envy 5030 printer but would like to know if it is capable of printing on custom paper sizes.  I need to print on a pretty obnoxiously sized 22.5 cm x 18.3 cm sheet.  Would this be possible?

 

I would be printing from Windows 10 or Android on the off chance that affects the answer.
