I have a HP DeskJet 2800e series. I have a 8.5 x 11 document that I have created in Photoshop. When I go to print it, the print preview shifts it up on the page. I have attached a blank page example and the the document I'm trying to print centered on the page. When I try to shift it down it crops it, I attached a screenshot.
I also have a hp envy 110 series and it prints it correctly (screenshot attached) , but I need to use the 2800 to print these documents because I have the instant ink subscription on the 2800.
HP DeskJet 2800e series will not print my document centered on the page
Printer randomly stops partway through a print
Like the title says, sometimes my HP DeskJet 2800e printer will simply stop partway through a job and spit out the page. There are no error messages, and it happens both wired and wireless. Most annoying is when it happens when I'm printing on sticker sheets or shrink plastic, wasting expensive materials. The utter lack of error messages and apparently random nature of the problem makes it very difficult to troubleshoot, but I have to try, because it's happened twice tonight now and I can't afford to keep wasting sticker paper on this.
Re: Error Code 11 - LaserJet MFP m234sdw bricked
Finally on March 21 I was able to download the 03112025 firmware update (to my laptop), then use HPSmart App to apply that firmware update to the MFP M234sdw printer. The firmware did apply this time and this did fix the printing issue. Hope this helps others.

Windows won't recognize my hp deskjet 2130 printer today
I was tring to print a document from Open Office but it wouldn't print from HP or any other printer on my list. Yet it perfectly printed 'Windows Printer Test Page'

What could be the glitch? Thanks
will 9120 series printer use 950XL cartridge
can I use 950XL cartridge on 9120 printer
Deskjet 2810e - Error e0
I spent 2 hours trying to solve an error e0, cleaning, restarting, updating firmware etc!!! only to find out that the ink cartridges do not work without an active ink subscription - so if you signed up for the ink subscription & then cancelled, any inks you received during that time will not work until your re-activate your subscription.
Re: will 9120 series printer use 950XL cartridge
No, it will not fit.
HP OfficeJet 9025e prints in black only
HP Smart shows Printer ready to print with green check, but printer shows Yellow as empty, even though this was a refill. Does not show anywhere that this is a non-compatible cartridge. How to bypass this and print?
Re: Photo Paper Error
The printer can't feed that vinyl properly, so you are wasting paper and ink.
photo prints just lines on back of photopaper and doest feed
I have a 5532 printer and it prints photos fine on a4 photopaper and 15x10 photopaper but anything else, it doesnt feed and i get streaks on the underside of the paper.. I have tried on HP Advanced paper 13x18 gloss paper and it does this!
Any suggestions please

Re: ink cartridge reset
Hi @Selma25
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP DeskJet 2752e is running the test page but the color light keeps blinking afterward, the issue might be related to the ink cartridges or alignment.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
1. Check the Ink Cartridges
- Proper Installation: Ensure both cartridges are seated correctly in their slots. Open the ink cartridge access door and confirm they click into place.
- Remove and Reinstall: Take out the cartridges and reinsert them securely to ensure proper contact with the printer.
2. Inspect Cartridges for Issues
- Protective Tape: Verify that you've removed the protective plastic tape from the copper-colored electrical contacts on the cartridges.
- Damaged Contacts: Examine the cartridges for any damage or ink residue on the contacts and gently clean them with a lint-free cloth and distilled water if necessary.
3. Check for Alignment Requirement
- After installing new cartridges, the printer may require an alignment process:
- Place the printed test page on the scanner bed.
- Follow the alignment instructions displayed on the printer or HP Smart App.
4. Printer Reset
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue resolves.
5. Ensure Compatibility
- Confirm that the ink cartridges are compatible with the HP DeskJet 2752e. Using non-original or incompatible cartridges can cause blinking indicator lights.
6. Update the Printer Firmware
- Connect the printer to your computer and use the HP Support website to check for any firmware updates that could address potential compatibility or operational issues.
7. HP Smart Diagnostics
- Use the HP Smart App to check for error messages or run diagnostics. It can help identify whether there's an issue with the cartridges or printer hardware.

HP Deskjet 2320
Hi, HP DeskJet2320 not printing from laptop.
Laptop does 'see' the printer in 'settings'.
DeskJet2320 DOES photocopy.
Message coming up on laptop about printer = Idle.Default.
This issue started after Apple Shop cleared my laptop and reinstalled all contents.
When I tried to contact HP.Support the HP Smart App does not recognise the serial number.
Help greatly appreciated, thank you.
Re: E1 error message
Hi @Craveking
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It’s frustrating to deal with such interruptions, especially since the printer works initially!
Even though it prints one job, the flashing lights and subsequent behavior might still be tied to a cartridge issue or another underlying problem.
Let’s explore potential solutions:
1. Verify Cartridge Installation
- Although you’re able to print, one or both cartridges may not be seated fully or may not have solid contact with the printer.
- Open the cartridge door, remove both cartridges, and reinsert them carefully until you hear a click.
- Check for any debris or ink buildup on the cartridge contacts and gently clean them with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
2. Check for Cartridge Compatibility
- Confirm that you’re using genuine HP cartridges compatible with the DeskJet Plus 4155. Non-HP or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause intermittent problems.
- Check the cartridge model numbers: HP 67 or HP 67XL.
3. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the printer and power it back on. This can sometimes clear temporary errors or miscommunications.
4. Clear the Printer Queue
- Ensure that the print queue on your computer is cleared before starting a new print job:
- On Windows 10, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select See what's printing.
- Cancel all pending jobs.
5. Update Printer Firmware
- Outdated firmware can lead to strange issues. Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest firmware for your DeskJet Plus 4155.
6. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can diagnose and fix cartridge and communication issues.
7. Check Power Supply
- Ensure that your printer is directly plugged into a wall outlet, not a power strip or surge protector. Inconsistent power delivery can lead to operational hiccups.
8. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults
- If nothing works, reset the printer to its factory settings:
- Press and hold the Cancel button and Wireless button on the printer for 10 seconds until the lights begin to flash.
- Reconnect the printer to your network and try printing again.

Re: Critical error code
@Mikeymike69551, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a critical error code!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP ENVY 6122e printer is displaying error code, indicating that fixing is not possible, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Remove any paper stuck in the printer carefully.
- Reset the Printer Again: Sometimes a second reset might resolve the issue. Ensure that the printer is powered on, then disconnect the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds before reconnecting it. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.
- Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and are not empty. If needed, replace any empty or faulty ink cartridges.
- Inspect for Foreign Objects: Check inside the printer for any foreign objects such as paper clips, debris, or pieces of torn paper that may be causing the error.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP website. Updating the firmware may resolve software-related issues causing the error.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the error code on your HP ENVY 6122e printer.
I hope this helps.
