No, this is not a "not using printer often enough" issue. It happens whether I print next week or the next day. Please have HP fix this annoying problem. It's be happening for years. I'm running Windows 10.
Re: Why do I have to run HP Print and Scan Doctor almost every single time I print?
My 2855e printer is blinking orange with an E. It says there’s an issue with the ink suddenly
There’s an orange light that just started blinking and error code with the ink suddenly? The cartridges were just replaced? It’s a 2855e all in one.
Re: c4eb9343
I, too, have the same problem with my HP Envy 5640 Printer. When I tried to open the link you shared, a 404 error was displayed, kindly support. Thanks.
New Cartridges not working
HP 952 3 pack dated Sep. 2026 (65020141) Printer (HP Officejet Pro 7740) does not recognize ink cartridges or states they are depleted and or where previously used.
Filed a claim on the Magenta cartridge in Feb. and was told a replacement was shipped. Never received.
Need replacements.

General help on instant ink management
I do not have an instant ink printer. My understanding is that if you run out of ink, or you cancel your subscription, you can use genuine Hewlett Packard cartridges either original or refilled. They must have an HP chip in the cartridge.
The below type is unlikely to work.
Note that this is a user to user forum and I am just the messenger of this bad news: Instant ink cartridges can only be used when the ink subscription is active.
Some HP printers can use non-HP ink
Instant ink portal is here.

Unplug from wall for 60 seconds.
If still a problem then have HP Smart provide error info or use the EWS application
See if EWS can provide more information.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Envy 6500e - Error Code 77.02.02 While Installing Ink Cartridges!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Error 77.02.02 usually pops up when there’s an issue with the ink cartridge installation. Here are a few steps to fix it:
Check Cartridge Compatibility
Make sure you’re using genuine HP ink cartridges that are compatible with your HP Envy 6500e.
If they’re third-party cartridges, they might not be recognized properly.
Reinstall the Cartridges
Turn off the printer and unplug it from power.
Open the cartridge access door and carefully remove the cartridges.
Check for any protective tape or packaging still attached—this is easy to miss!
Reinsert the cartridges securely until they click into place.
Reset the Printer
Plug the printer back in and power it on.
Disconnect from Wi-Fi, wait a minute, then reconnect.
Try installing the cartridges again and see if the error clears.
Check for Firmware Updates
On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer to ensure your printer is running the latest firmware.
If the error persists after these steps, let me know! We might need to do a deeper troubleshooting check. 😊
Looking forward to hearing how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

It sounds like your HP printer is stuck in a "printing" state but not actually producing any output. Since you've already restarted the printer and reinstalled it, here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the Print Queue
Press Win + R, type control printers, and hit Enter.
Right-click your HP printer and select See what's printing.
If there are stuck print jobs, click Printer> Cancel All Documents.
Restart the printer and try printing again.
Restart the Print Spooler Service
Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
Right-click it and select Restart.
Try printing again.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
HP provides a diagnostic tool to fix printing issues. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP support website and run it.
Check Connection & Default Printer
Ensure the printer is properly connected via USB or Wi-Fi.
In Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, make sure your HP printer is set as Default.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
Go to Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
Expand Print queues, right-click your printer, and select Update driver.
If the problem persists, uninstall the printer from Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners and reinstall it with the latest drivers from HP website.
Check for Hardware Issues
Ensure there’s enough paper in the tray and no paper jams.
Check ink/toner levels.
Try a test print directly from the printer’s control panel.
If none of these steps work, let me know, and we can troubleshoot further! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with connecting your Printer to the network.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again as the service provider was changed.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.

HP Officejet pro 8600 printer problem or ink problem
Followed ALL directions to troubleshoot error code. It says then contact HP support. My warranty is out. Is there any hope to get it to work?
Photo Paper Error
Does anyone know how I can fix this printing issue, I load the tray with Vinyl glossy photo paper and every time I click print, it always skips like 2 whole lines of the image and ruins the whole project. I’ve cleaned the rolls and resized the image and printing job to no Avail. Should I just look into finding a new printer? It works great with regular paper, and cardstock paper though.
Re: Printer connected to WiFi but NOT the internet
I have the same issue - printer report says connected to my wifi, which has active internet in use by other devices. Printer was working, suddenly says not on the internet. WIFI yes, internet no. Printer has been reset, and reinstalled with HPSmart app.
Re: Printer connected to WiFi but NOT the internet
HP clearly has a bug in the 6055e internet connection.
When printing in Black, does the HP 8025e also use Magenta?
I have an Officejet Pro 8025e printer. I have set my printer to use only black ink and never colored ink. I do not have it set for gray scales. I keep having the magenta color ink running out, my printing gets interrupted, and I must replace the Magenta cartridge. Can anything be done? I was wondering if, when printing in Black, the printer uses some Magenta ink
Printer Failure 0x61000049
I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer. Whenever I turn the printer on, I get an error saying the printer wasn't properly shutdown and then I get a printer failure 0x610004a. This happens after I've left the printer turned off and unplugged for days. I even did a factory reset and still received these messages. I've checked for jams, cleaned the printer, and visually checked for anything that could be wrong. The printer carriage can move freely and manually. I'm not sure what else I can try.
