Re: Printer is flashing by the ink triangle and is flashing E and !
@Shaggybritches, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
When the HP Deskjet 2700e All-in-One printer displays a flashing E,!, and colored ink sign next to the ink triangle icon, this typically indicates a problem with the ink cartridges, the printer’s ink system, or a possible jam.
Check for Paper Jams
- Open the printer's paper tray and the rear access door (if applicable).
- Carefully check for any paper stuck inside the printer or any other debris that could be causing a blockage.
- If you find any jammed paper, gently pull it out. Ensure there are no small pieces left behind.
Check the Ink Cartridges
- Open the printer’s front cover to access the ink cartridges.
- Remove the ink cartridges carefully, one at a time, and check for any protective plastic strips or tape that may still be attached.
- Inspect the ink cartridges for any leaks or damage.
- Reinstall the cartridges, ensuring they are firmly seated in place.
Verify Ink Levels
- Check the ink levels on your printer's display panel (or through the HP Smart app or software on your computer).
- If one or more cartridges are empty or low, replace the ink cartridges with new ones.
Reset the Printer
- Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can often reset the printer and clear minor error codes.
Re: Printer is flashing by the ink triangle and is flashing E and !
Check for Software or Driver Issues
- Ensure that your printer's software is up to date by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest driver or firmware updates.
- If you are using the HP Smart app, check for updates within the app.
Clear the Printer Queue
- If there are any stuck print jobs in the printer queue, they could cause an issue.
- On your computer, go to Devices and Printers, right-click on the HP Deskjet printer, and select See what's printing.
- Cancel any pending print jobs and try printing again.
Reinstall Ink Cartridges
- If the problem persists, remove the cartridges again and clean the electrical contacts with a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water.
- Reinstall the cartridges and check if the error clears.
Perform a Printer Self-Test
- Many HP printers allow you to perform a self-test or diagnostic page. Check your printer’s manual or settings menu for instructions on how to print a diagnostic page.
You can also refer to this guide to check the blinking lights and error codes.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Hp envy 6000 says printernot available
Hp envy 6000 says printer is not available when I try to print from my android. I had just printed a 10 page document and two certificates then all of a sudden it says printer not available. I've tried restarting the printer twice I went through the realignment process and it just won't print
Re: HP Smart Tank 7602 stuck at Verifying after Web Services Update
Yes, the boot loader found the firmware on startup without the need to long press the power button to access the boot loader menu. So now that I know this trick I'm keeping a copy around for the next time HP issues a bad firmware update.
However, the system is very finicky with regard to the thumb drive - I had an extra disk partition on mine from a previous project and that stopped my first try from working. So it definitely needs to be a single partition with the FAT file-system or it won't work.
my printer tells me to contact HP
when I turn on printer , it says to unplug and restart , then contact hp support no error code it is connected to wi-fi

Re: pdf file print landscape pages with the last 1/2 of a sentence missing from bottom of page
Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check Paper Size Settings
- In Printer Settings:
- Ensure that your printer is set to the correct paper size (e.g., Letter or A4 if you are printing on standard paper).
- Go to Control Panel on your printer, select Setup> Paper Size and check that it's set to the correct size that matches your document.
- In PDF Viewer Settings:
- Open the PDF in your preferred viewer (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Foxit Reader, etc.).
- Before printing, check the Page Size in the print dialog and make sure it matches your paper size.
Print Scaling Options
- Scaling in the Print Dialogue:
- In the print dialog box, make sure you are not scaling the document incorrectly.
- Select the Fit to Page or Actual Size option (depending on your viewer), and make sure the scaling isn't set to Shrink to Fit or a custom size that could cut off the bottom.
- If you’re using Adobe Acrobat, ensure the Page Scaling is set to Fit (not Shrink or Custom).
Check the Print Preview
- Before hitting Print, check the Print Preview to see if the entire document fits within the printable area.
- If the page content is being cut off in the preview, the issue is likely with the document setup or scaling.
Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e.
- Visit the HP support page and download the most recent drivers for your operating system.
- Outdated drivers could cause issues with scaling and page handling.
Re: pdf file print landscape pages with the last 1/2 of a sentence missing from bottom of page
Check for Printer Firmware Updates
- Make sure your printer has the latest firmware update, as firmware updates can address issues like this.
- Go to the HP Smart App or the HP website to check for firmware updates.
Try Printing from Another Application
- If you are printing the PDF from one program (e.g., Adobe Acrobat), try printing it from another PDF viewer (like Foxit Reader or Edge) to see if the issue persists.
Adjust Page Layout
- If the document is specifically set up with a borderless layout, you may want to adjust it to standard margins (e.g., 0.5 inches or so) in the PDF properties or during the print setup.
Test Different Paper Type
- If the issue is still occurring, try changing the paper type settings in the print dialog to match the paper you're using (e.g., Plain Paper, Photo Paper, etc.) to see if that makes a difference.
Use a PDF Editing Tool
- If the document's margins or layout are problematic, use a PDF editor to adjust the layout, such as removing extra margins or resizing the content to fit the printable area.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Computer recognizes printer but HP doesn't see computer. HP error01 on Laser jet proMFP M29w.
HP Laser PRO MFP M29w error code HP error 01. Printer does not recognize computer.
MFP M283fdw turns itself completely off
This printer is the worst I've ever had. It frequently has issues like the never-ending firmware update loop, becoming unavailable on the network, waking up right after going idle, and now it has a new bug: it turns completely off after a while.
It's not going idle, but switching completely off. I have to manually power it on by pushing on the button each time I want to print. Trying to access it from the network doesn't wake it up, of course.
My energy settings are like before; this bug came suddenly without my modifying anything to the settings:
- Sleep/Auto Off After Inactivity: 30 Minutes
- Shut Down After Inactivity: 4 Hours
- Delay when ports are active: OFF
I had to disable "Delay when ports are active", otherwise it wakes up all the time... I wish HP finally released a debugged firmware for that printer, but they conveniently removed it from the market and ended all support.
Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this new bug?
Re: what is a wia drive
Hi @maryj137,
Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
t sounds like you're encountering an issue where your Dell laptop is asking for a "WIA driver" to use your HP Officejet 3830 printer. WIA stands for "Windows Image Acquisition," which is a service used by Windows to work with imaging devices like scanners and some printers.
Check Printer Connection
- Ensure your HP Officejet 3830 is properly connected to your Dell laptop via USB or Wi-Fi, depending on how you’ve set it up.
- If you’re using Wi-Fi, make sure both the printer and laptop are on the same network.
Install HP Printer Drivers
The WIA driver should be included in the full software package for your printer. If it’s missing or not installed, you can download the necessary drivers from HP’s official website:
- Visit HP’s official support page and search for your printer model (HP Officejet 3830).
- Download and install the latest drivers/software package for your printer.
- Restart your laptop after installation.
Update Windows
Sometimes, Windows may not recognize the printer correctly if there are pending updates. Make sure your Windows operating system is fully up to date:
- Go to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update, and check for updates.
Re: what is a wia drive
Reinstall the Printer
If there’s still an issue, try removing and reinstalling the printer:
- Go to Control Panel> Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your printer and select Remove device.
- After removing, reconnect the printer and allow Windows to automatically install the necessary drivers. If it doesn’t automatically install, use the driver installation package you downloaded from HP.
Check WIA Service
If the issue persists, check if the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service is running:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Scroll down to Windows Image Acquisition (WIA).
- Make sure the service is running (it should be set to “Automatic”).
- If it's not running, right-click it and choose Start.
Try HP Print and Scan Doctor
HP offers a diagnostic tool that can automatically detect and fix issues with HP printers.
- Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Run the tool and follow the instructions to fix the issue.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue

HP LaserJet M236dw – Error 49 After Toner Refill – Urgent Assistance Required
Dear HP Support Team,
I am reaching out again regarding a critical issue with my HP LaserJet M236dw printer. The device was purchased in March 2022 from an official regional dealer in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Initially, the printer worked fine, but after the first toner refill, it stopped working and displayed error 49.
After extensive troubleshooting, including consulting HP’s support forums and visiting an official HP service center, I have been unable to resolve the issue. The service center refused to assist me solely because the warranty has expired, even though this problem appears to be related to HP's firmware or hardware failure, not the toner refill itself.
Upon further research, I have found that multiple users have reported the same issue with this model. This strongly suggests that the printer has a design flaw or a firmware defect that leads to failure after refilling the toner. A printer should not become inoperable simply due to a standard maintenance procedure.
Since I have always trusted HP as a reliable brand, I am extremely disappointed with the situation. I now have an almost brand-new printer that is completely unusable due to an apparent manufacturer defect.
I kindly request HP to address this issue, provide a viable solution, or offer an official repair program, regardless of the warranty status, as this appears to be a systematic defect in your product. I would appreciate an urgent response with possible solutions.
Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Marat Nasirov
