Step 2: Check the Printer Registration Status
- Check on the Printer Screen: If the printer says it’s not registered, follow the prompts on the screen to register it again.
There are no instructions on how to register the printer. The only option is to hide the "printer not-registered"message.
- HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone and check the registration status of the printer. If it's not registered, complete the registration process through the app.
The printer is shown as offline. There is nothing I can do from the app.
Step 3: Attempt to Bypass the Alignment Process
- Access the Printer Settings: If the printer starts up and asks to print the alignment page again, try accessing the printer's settings directly.
There is no way I can access the printer's settings directly.
- Skip Alignment: Look for an option to skip or cancel the alignment process. This might be found under "Setup" or "Tools" in the printer's menu.
The command pannel does not show any option but for "continue"
Step 4: Update or Reinstall Printer Firmware/Software Update the firmware on an HP printer
- HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app and check for any available firmware updates for your printer. Install any updates.
I cannot do this because the firmware updater does not see the printer.
I tried to connect the printer directly to the USB cable with similar results.

8028 "Carriage Jam" after broken paper feeder gear replaced
RSaunders posted solution Nov2023 only helped halfway. I found a broken paper feeder gear and replaced it. When I powered back on, the carriage still jams to the right side when it goes through its initializing sequence. Instead of releasing the carriage by removing the ink suction cups, it engages it before trying to print.
I have the latest firmware MALBECPP 1N001.23 49A.00
I tried to factory reset.
I tried to reset/reboot by unplugging from wall outlet, turn-off for 2-3 minutes, and restarting.
I clear the suction cups by cranking the gears on the left side to disengage the suction cups and retract it all the way. But every time I click "ok", it checks the printer and gets itself stuck again under the suction cups when trying to print. It seems like it is out of sync.
How can you get the carriage to reset or re-sync itself correctly?

My HPEnvy Photo 7155 is stuck. It won’t power off or anything. I’ve removed the power access from the printer, the wall, waited, added power back, nothing helps. How do I fix this?

Hp envy 7900e series printer error 001B5D09
Hello, I have an HP envy inspire 7900e printer and it does not like colored paper!
My printer started showing a blue glitched screen after I attempted to print with light pink paper (same letter size, same printer paper thickness 24lbs) and it fails to comprehend it. It started a paper jam and then the second time I unjammed it and reset by unplugging the printer cord from the outlet. Same blue screen and error code 001B5D09.
Is my printer bricked or done for? Or is there a way to make it print again? I really want to figure out why it refuses to print on colored printer paper. I don’t even think it prints normally anymore.

HP LaserJet m203dw not printing from Macbook Air after replacing the toner
Hey there. I just replaced the toner in my HP LaserJet Pro m203dw (CF203A, per the standard recommendation on the HP website) and now my print jobs disappear without finishing.
Inside the "Printer Center" app, the status goes from "Connected to Printer" to "Waiting for job to complete" to the job disappearing with no printing having happened.
When I go to Apple Icon -> System Settings -> Printers, I see the "Model" is HP LaserJet M203-206-Airprint. Driver Version 3.0.
I'm running Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 with an Apple 3 chip.
I've printed from this computer before.
At first, I was able to successfully print 6 pages of a longer print job (~106 pages) from Google Docs, but then that job disappeared before finishing. When I try to print the remaining 100 pages, I get the above issue.
I've been able to go to a random web page (Amazon) and print. I've also been able to run print diagnostic tests from HP Smart and print. Fix & diagnose did not change any issues. Likewise, all diagnostic tests are either "Pass" or "Excellent."
When I try to download my print selection from Google Docs into Preview and print, I'm unable. This is true even if I select the whole document, 1 page, or a larger subset of pages.
However, if I try to print the entire Google Doc (371 pages), it prints. (I stop it because I don't want it to print all the first 250ish pages). Somewhat similarly, if I try printing an odd number of pages, I hear the printer activate but then the print job disappears before anything prints.
There are no files in ~/Library/Printers, although this shouldn't be an issue because 6 pages DID print, and I can print a regular Chrome webpage.
If I try to print from the Google Docs app on my phone, I get "AirPrint Error | Please try again."
I've tried rebooting both the printer and my laptop. No change. The printer is loaded with new paper and new toner and everything is properly plugged in and turned on.
I'm stumped. I don't think the new toner matters.
I can't find any information on how to reset AirPrint configuration—and more importantly, nothing about my phone <> printer relationship should have changed.

hp laserjet mfp m26nw initializing error
After attempting to connect to WPS and failed, I turned the printer off. Now, whenever it's on, the screen is stuck on Initializing... with the WPS button on. I have tried the power cord reset but it was unsuccessful. Is there another solution that I may try?

I have just switched to AT&T
Previously it was another router and it works great with the printer.
My network is just Bgw320-500 no extenders
WPS gives error
JI tried to give to 2.4 and 5GHz wifi different names
I tried different settings to 2.4 wifi - nothing works. But it still perfectly connects to old router

I have AT&T Arris modem.
Did you restart the modem?
The only thing I can think of is the WPS pin is the old one from the previous modem when you reset the printer it should erase the pin.
Can you get a network report?

Printer beeps every 5-10 minutes
Hello, the printer works fine and there are no error lights, but it has a high pitched beep maybe every 5-10 minutes. When the printer was new it dod not beep, this has been happening for a few months.

Cannot print in color from MacBook Pro
I recently purchased an HP Envy 6400e but I cannot print anything in color from my MacBook. Does anyone happen to know of a solution to this? If these printers are unable to print in color from Mac then that should be stated on the box so the public will know.
