Hi @socratesagain,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the print settings.

To change your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e from double-sided (duplex) printing to single-sided printing, you can adjust the print settings either on your computer or directly from the printer’s control panel. Here’s how you can do it:

On Your Computer (Windows):

Open the Print Dialog:

  • When you are ready to print, go to File > Print or press Ctrl + P in the application you’re using.

Select the Printer:

  • Ensure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e is selected as the printer.

Access Printer Properties:

  • Click on Printer Properties, Preferences, or More settings (the wording may vary depending on the application).

Change the Duplex Setting:

  • Look for the option labeled Two-Sided, Duplex, or something similar.
  • Set it to Off, None, or One-Sided Printing.

Confirm and Print:

  • Click OK to save your changes and then proceed to print your document.

On Your Computer (macOS):

Open the Print Dialog:

  • When you’re ready to print, go to File > Print or press Command + P.

Select the Printer:

  • Make sure your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e is selected.

Access Print Settings:

  • In the print dialog, expand the Copies & Pages or Layout section if necessary.

Turn Off Duplex Printing:

  • Look for the Two-Sided checkbox and uncheck it.

Confirm and Print:

  • Click Print to print your document single-sided.

Directly on the Printer (if available):

Go to Printer Settings:

  • On your printer’s touchscreen, navigate to the Settings or Setup menu.

Locate the Duplex Printing Option:

  • Look for a Print Settings or Print Options section.
  • Find the option related to duplex printing and turn it off.

Save Settings:

  • Save the changes and try printing a document to see if it’s now printing single-sided.

Note: If you often need to switch between single-sided and double-sided printing, you can create a custom print profile in the printer settings for quick access to your preferred options.

This should ensure that your documents print on one side only.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @ChipDSUPER,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw may be experiencing software or driver conflicts, especially after updating to macOS Sonoma. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to your Mac via Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet.
  • If you're using a wireless connection, try restarting your router.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Go to the HP Support website and check for any firmware updates for the printer model.
  • Firmware updates often fix compatibility issues with new operating systems like macOS Sonoma.

Reinstall HP Printer Drivers:

  • Remove the Printer:
    • Go to System Settings> Printers & Scanners.
    • Select your LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw and click Remove or Delete Printer.
  • Reinstall the Drivers:
    • Go to HP’s website and download the latest printer drivers compatible with macOS Sonoma.
    • Install the driver and re-add the printer by selecting Add Printer in Printers & Scanners.

Reset Printing System:

  • Reset the Printing System:
    • Go to System Settings> Printers & Scanners.
    • Right-click (or Control-click) in the list of printers and select Reset printing system.
    • This will remove all printers, but you can re-add the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw afterward.

Test Different File Types or Applications:

  • Try printing from different applications (Safari, Preview, Word) to see if the issue is specific to one app.
  • Also, test printing different file types (PDF, Word, Images) to check for file compatibility issues.

Clear the Print Queue:

  • Open Printers & Scanners.
  • Select the printer and click Open Print Queue.
  • Cancel any stuck or paused print jobs, then try printing again.

Try an Alternate Printing Method:

  • If none of the above steps work, you can try printing using HP Smart or AirPrint.
  • For HP Smart, download it from the App Store, and follow the steps to set up and manage printing through the app.
  • For AirPrint, go to System Settings, click Add Printer, and look for the printer under the AirPrint section. This method uses Apple's native drivers instead of HP drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I was able to work with an HP agent to find the solution to the issue. I had to manually delete the printer from my computer settings (there were multiple instances of the same printer) and re-add the printer. Do not use the automatic function to re-add, instead add it using the IP address of the printer that can be found on the print test page (press the "i" icon on the printer) and after that, you'll be good to go.

Hi @it007,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

The issue you're experiencing with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dn, where it only prints one page at a time, can sometimes be resolved by adjusting settings in the printer driver, even if the "Mopier Mode" option is not available. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Disable Advanced Printing Features:

  • Open the Devices and Printers window on your computer.
  • Right-click on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dn printer and select Printer Properties.
  • Go to the Advanced tab.
  • Uncheck the option Enable advanced printing features.
  • Click Apply and OK.

2. Set Printing Preferences:

  • Right-click on your printer in the Devices and Printers window and select Printing Preferences.
  • Go to the Paper/Quality or Layout tab.
  • Ensure that the Print on Both Sides option is set according to your preference.
  • Check the Print Document on option, if available, and ensure it's not set to a specific single page size or type that may be causing the issue.

3. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Download the latest drivers for your printer from the HP Support website.
  • Uninstall the current driver from your system through Device Manager.
  • Restart your computer and then reinstall the printer using the new drivers.

4. Check Printer Settings:

  • Access the printer's built-in web server by typing the printer's IP address into a web browser.
  • Look for any settings related to Job Storage or Mopier Mode and ensure they are configured correctly.
  • Disable any settings that limit printing to single pages.

5. Print Directly to the Printer:

  • In the Printer Properties window, under the Ports tab, ensure that the correct port is selected.
  • Go to the Advanced tab and select Print directly to the printer.
  • This option bypasses the spooler and might resolve the single-page issue.

6. Try a Different Print Method:

  • If you are printing from a specific application, try printing from a different one to see if the issue persists.
  • If the problem is isolated to one application, check the print settings within that application.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be necessary to perform an NVRAM reset on the printer.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Blended6052,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 4650 printer shows that everything is ready to go but it still won’t print, here’s a comprehensive troubleshooting guide to help resolve the issue:

1. Check Printer Status

  • Control Panel: Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer’s control panel. Address any specific issues indicated.
  • Paper: Make sure there is paper in the input tray and that it is properly loaded.
  • Ink: Verify that ink cartridges are installed correctly and are not empty. If needed, replace any low or empty cartridges.

2. Restart Devices

  • Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on.
  • Reboot: Restart the computer or device from which you are trying to print.

3. Check Printer Queue

  • Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select See what's printing. Clear any pending print jobs.
  • Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and check the print queue.

4. Check Printer Connections

  • USB Connection: If connected via USB, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • Wi-Fi Connection: Verify that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Ensure the printer’s wireless light is on.
  • Reconfigure: For Wi-Fi printers, reconnect to the network. Go to the printer’s control panel, access network settings, and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

5. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • HP Support: Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP 4650 printer. Install them according to the instructions.
  • Uninstall and Reinstall: Uninstall the current printer drivers from your computer, then reinstall the latest drivers from HP’s website.

6. Run Printer Troubleshooter

  • Run Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and select Printer to run the built-in troubleshooter.
  • Download Tool: Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to automatically diagnose and fix printing issues.

7. Check Printer Settings

  • Print Dialog: Ensure that the correct printer is selected in the print dialog box and that settings are configured properly for the document you are trying to print.
  • HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app and ensure that your printer is set up correctly and is online.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

How do I reinstall printer heads on a HP 8620

Error cartucho

Buenas tardes

He intentado todo: limpiar cartucho, apagarla, desenchufarla, actualizarla, restaurarla.

Gracias

Hi @Ringram32,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP D110 printer is automatically printing two copies of every document and the second copy gets stuck in the queue, there could be several underlying issues causing this behavior. Let’s walk through a comprehensive troubleshooting guide to help you resolve this problem:

1. Check Printer Settings

  • On Your Computer: When you send a print job, go to the print dialog box. Check the settings for the number of copies. Ensure it's set to 1 or the number of copies you want.
  • On Printer Control Panel: If your printer has a control panel, check for any settings related to the number of copies and adjust as needed.
  • Factory Reset: If the printer settings seem off, you might consider performing a factory reset on the printer. This will restore default settings, which might resolve the issue.

2. Check Print Queue

a. Clear Print Queue:

  • On Windows:
    1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click on your HP D110 printer and select See what’s printing.
    3. If there are stuck print jobs, click Printer > Cancel All Documents to clear the queue.
  • On Mac:
    1. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    2. Select your HP D110 and click Open Print Queue.
    3. Cancel any stuck print jobs by clicking the X next to each job.

3. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • HP Support Website: Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP D110 printer. Install them according to the instructions.

b. Reinstall Drivers::

  1. Uninstall Drivers: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select Remove Device.
  2. Reinstall: Download and install the latest drivers from HP’s website.

4. Check Software and Applications

  • Printer Software: Ensure that no third-party software or print management software is causing conflicts. Uninstall any print management software if you suspect it might be interfering.

b. Reinstall Printer Software:

  • HP Smart App: If you’re using the HP Smart app, try reinstalling it to see if that resolves the issue.

5. Run Printer Troubleshooters

  • Download Tool: Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
  • Run Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and select Printer to run the built-in troubleshooter.

6. Check for Firmware Updates

  • HP Smart App: Use the HP Smart app or the HP Support website to check for and install any firmware updates for your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello @nunonuno69 , how are you ?

Researching the mentioned error, the error points to the print head according to a post from a colleague @sandytechy20  here in the community, see:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/Event-code-62-80-03/td-p/8109974

If possible, try to update the firmware, but even so, if the error persists, you will have to change the print head or call a technical assistant.

Hi Elohi,
Thanks for the very detailed instructions! I've been working as Network Admin for 5 years, and  of all the times I've written of help forums, your answer by far is the easiest to follow instructions I've ever gotten.

In the process of checking printer properties, I notice the driver on the affected computer was using Microsoft IPP Class Driver.

I'm defiantly using your guide in the future.

I appreciate your time!!

I  have been trying for a month to get my printer working, as the ink carriage sticks on the right side and I get error code OXOO829C96, HW Watchdog C.  I have had several HP managers on email (I am disabled and unable to use a phone), and they -specifically Kimberly and Luis Posada, who keep saying they will help me and then they stop communicating, with no explanations.    Yesterday, Luis, told me he had not received the daily messages I have been sending him for a week, after he said he would help me, and that he would get back with me today, to get this fixed "at the first hour" (Whatever that means), but it is after noon and I have not heard a word.  These people at HP and Instant Ink are absolutely horrible.  And, the thing is, they are costing their own company money by not having my printer working.  I am elderly and disabled and not very tach savvy, but I can follow directions,...I REALLY, REALLY NEED ASAP PLEASE!!!!

INK SYSTEM FAILURE: I have a HP Officejet 6700 Premium Printer. This failure notice came up

We have a HP Officejet 6700 Premium Printer. A Ink System Failure Notice came up for the first time. It states "There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP.

Turning on and then off has not helped. Ink jet cartridges are new. Taking out and reinserting the ink jet cartridges didn't help either.

What do we do to get it to print?
