Power button light stays on, printer not turning on

That works, but then it just repeats the next time I use the printer. WHY is the error code appearing and how can it be stopped / fixed permanently is the question? What does the error code mean? Is there a solution or is this one of those gremlins that nobody actually understands?

Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

I understand you are not able to print due to Scanner Error 13.  Reset the printer to clear certain error states by calibrating the scanner mechanism, and then check the power source to confirm the printer is getting enough power to operate the scanner.

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the printer, if it is not already on.

  2. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  3. Disconnect the power cord from the power source, and then wait 30 seconds.

  4. If you previously connected the power cord to a power strip or multi-plug outlet adapter, reconnect the cord directly to a wall outlet to ensure the printer is getting enough power.

  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer, and then turn on the printer.

    • If the error no longer displays, make a test copy to confirm the issue is resolved.

    • If the error still displays, connect the printer power cord to a different wall outlet to determine if the original outlet is causing the issue.

If the issue persists, this could be a possible hardware issue wherein the scanner motor is unable to find the home position and requires a scanner motor replacement. Warranty started before purachase of my laserjet pro mfp 126nw printer.

On 3.10.2021 i purchased a printer and when i checked the printer details i saw that the warranty of printer has been started 2 months past which was very disappointing. 

How to bypass the message Setup Cartridge - HP 4625

I was given this HP Officejet 4625 Printer  and I bought the correct ink for it.  But when I try to set up the printer it says I need "Setup Cartridges".  There were no setup cartridges as all the contents that came with the printer were already disposed of.  I would like to bypass the setup cartridge menu so I can use the printer I have inside the printer.

Envy Laptop in state of printer error

Need some help getting my laptop to print. To clarify: I don't think this is a printer issue, I believe it's a laptop issue. Here's why: I can AirPrint from my phone and I have another computer on the network that prints to both printers fine.

My Laptop:

HP OMEN Notebook - 15-5010n

Windows 10 Home Edition

OS Build: 19043.1165

Here's the printers:

HP OfficeJet Pro 9010

Brother HL-L6300DW

Here's the problem:

When I go to print to either printer I get an error notification saying that the printer is in a state of error. Both printers. However like I said the other computer prints to them just fine. I've tried removing them and re-adding them multiple times. I've also tried the fix where you go into the run command window and the whole "printui.exe /s" and delete drivers that way. Weird thing I'll add: I couldn't remove the HP printer driver because it said it was currently in use. But there's nothing in my print queue. Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to be able to print stuff.

CP1525 is printing double in black and/or color.

Recently started printing double in black, and also when I have a red font, it prints a little yellow, and a little orange that look like double as well. Printer is out of warranty (Manufactured in 2011), fairly new cartridges (that I have checked for damage or debris). I printed the text pages and did a cleaning, but didn't help.  Also the red letter text drops down a little bit and is not even with the rest of the text.  Very odd.  I've try using different software (as recommended), and same problem, so it's not my software.

Hi:

 

For whatever reason they do it, HP starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the PC/Printer leaves the assembly plant.

 

So the more time the PC/Printer sits unsold, the less time remains on the warranty.

Hello,

 

Hope you are well, that error is most commonly related to a sensor inside the printer,  recommend to turn it off, unplug it and press the power button in the meantime the printer is off for around 20 secs, then reconnect and turn it on.

Please make sure its under normal temperature conditions, If printer has been stored below 5 deg C / 41 deg F, bring the printer to an environment greater than 15 deg C / 59 deg F and let it acclimate for 24 hours.

 

If issue persists, its recommended to have the printer serviced in one of our authorized service providers.

Hello,

 

Hope you are well, looks like the server is not seeing the printer on the network, its recommended to check the server IP address and compare it to the IP of the printer, for example, 192.168.1.0 , server and printer should be 192.168.1.x (x stands for the unique number for each device).

 

Also, the most easy test is to use the IP address into a web browser URL in the server, this should unlock a printer menu called embedded web server, if the computer have access to this page with the IP address of the printer, the connection is fine, in case it says site cant be reached or unable to connect , make sure the printer and server are in the same network range.

My printer has barely been used. I've used it as a fax and thought I'd run out of ink so I just put in a new ink jet cartridge. It will not print. It will not copy, either. I had the Setup cartridge in there and never got a message to replace it. 

 

The printer sounds like it's printing - there's just no ink coming out. I removed the plastic tab from the ink cartridge.

HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series: I'm trying to change the printer cartridge but the cartridge carousel is not aligning in place to enable removal of the cartridge.  When I press "Replace" on the screen nothing happens.  I did manage to replace two cartridges earlier but for some reason it has stopped.  Can anyone assist?

The server can ping the printer at the IP address and I can open the web console for the printer at the IP of the printer. I can also print to the printer from my PC at that IP. I just can't get the servers to print to it.

Hello,

 

Hope you are fine, have you tried by any chance to reinstall the printer with Generic PostScript driver? Normally that fixes the file transcript to the printer language, also it would be great to print out a different type of file to check the outcome, a file like an email or printing a simple word doc to discard the PDF file and format. 

 

You can click the apple icon and then system preferences, them printers and scanners, select the + icon and then select in front of Use and the dropdown menu,  Generic PostScript, add the printer and test the PDF with the new printer icon.
