I stumbled on how to get the "low ink" message to go away - temporarily

I bought an Officejet Pro 9015 last week in July 2021. Five weeks later, "low ink" warning appears on the printer's panel screen - and it will not go away. I read 8 posts in a related thread, no solutions. I reset the printer (left it turned on when I pulled the plug out), opened the printer cartridge door and then closed it, checked for firmware updates. Went into HP Smart to see if I could circumvent the panel and override it. No matter what I tried, the "low ink" warning would not go away. Clicking "OK" on that message just made a faint click sound in the printer; the message would NOT go away. I could not copy or scan from the printer.

HP Smart says there are "low" cartridges and then says - in the same sentence - "it is not necessary to replace the cartridges yet."

I called HP Customer Support. While waiting on line, I tried to print the email from HP with the case # on it I had just received. "Low ink" message is still on the printer control panel. The email printed, no issues.

Still waiting, I went into HP Smart and kept looking for a way to override. It kept showing the ink levels per cartridge and saying it was not necessary to replace yet. At the bottom of that HP Smart page, there were 2 buttons: "OK" and "Order Ink" or something similar. I just clicked on OK because I did not want to order ink thru HP Smart. All of a sudden, I got a page on HP Smart with a green check mark and "Ready", and the "low ink" message on the printer panel went away - the home screen showed there now.

Apparently, you cannot just press "OK" for this "low ink" message ON THE PRINTER control panel: you MUST go thru HP Smart to get rid of it on the printer control panel.

I could not copy or scan without getting rid of the "low ink" message, but I was able to print a page directly from my PC (from Outlook) and the "low ink" message stayed on the control panel the entire time.

So if you are getting a "low ink" message on the printer control panel and clicking "OK" there will not make it go away, you HAVE TO turn on the computer connected to the printer/LAN that has HP Smart installed on it, and click on "OK" on the supply status page in HP Smart where it is only WARNING you that the ink is low, no need to replace cartridges yet, but asks if you want to order ink from HP.

Forced attention to advertising?????? My HP 8600 never did this.

Can I get a private message on how to resolve this problem please? Also do I need to reset it first by unplugging  it prior to performing the solution?

Thanks

6700 OfficeJet Problem

Hello,

I have a HP Officejet 6700 Premium from a few year back.  For the most part it worked fine.  One day recently, out of the blue, I received an error and it will not print now.  The error reads; "Printer Failure - There is a problem with the printer or ink system.  Turn printer off, then on.  If problem persists, contact HP.  0x61011bed"

I have tried all the steps I can try.  Could you send me instructions for a hard reset?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Error: HP Cannot Print Quicken

This printer is used exclusively for check printing from Quicken. Occasionally, it will print the check(s) and reprint them again sometime later. Often before this happens, I will see a brief pop-up message "HP cannot print quicken". This message may pop up right before printing the checks or shortly after. Either way, the checks typically DO print when this message occurs. Sometimes I do not get the brief error message, but the next time I send checks to the printer, nothing happens. If I check the printer settings, the old print job is still in the cue and cannot be cancelled. If I cancel it using print spooler, it will still reprint, typically the next time I start quicken or at some random time (it seems). I can stop the spooler service, close Quicken, restart the computer, restart the spooler (trying to cover every possible base) and the next time I open Quicken, it will reprint the last checks. Quicken tech experts have never seen this problem before. I need to quit wasting checks or always have to wonder if checks are going to randomly start printing. If I realize it's happening, I can sometimes pull out the drawer and stick in blank paper for them to print on. Seems to be my only resort. I am using the full-feature driver for this printer as it is needed in order to print checks in the correct order (back to front).

Hello,

You may try below mentioned steps...

  1. Disconnect the printer from the NETWORK
    1. If on wired network : Unplug the  Ethernet cable from back of the printer.
    2. If on wireless network : Power of the Wireless router.
  2. Turn off the printer and wait for 30 seconds.
  3. Turn on the printer and try below steps.
    • Disable the IPv6 feature from printer front panel menu.
      1.             go to Setup -> Network Setup -> Network Services -> IPv6 -> Off.
    • Disable the AUTO UPDATE on the printer.

go to Setup  -> Services ->LaserJet Update -> Manage Updates -> Check Automatically -> set to Off.

Turn off the printer. Wait for 30 seconds and then turn on the printer and then connect the printer to network ( Power on the Wireless Router or plug in the Ethernet cable ) and then try printing

Alignment Failed Error

Hello. I just recently started having a problem with the alignment on my printer. It started cutting off the sides of my documents when I would print. Sometimes on the left, sometimes the right. I did an alignment test and it came back as "alignment failed" error. I checked to make sure I have the correct letter paper, cleaned the printhead, and even unplugged and plugged my printer back in. Nothing has worked and I am unsure what to do.

I print with a Lenovo Chromebook that runs on Chrome OS. I have also used Windows 10 in the past. Both of these operating systems have worked just fine for over a year.

The full product name is Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One printer (B211a). I would appreciate any help on how to fix this, thank you!

When connected to a Mac mini, the printer does not print. Everything is loaded, the queue is visible, the printer clicks, preparing for printing, but does not print. All drivers are updated. When connected to other Mac models, everything prints without problems.

How do I do a COLD RESET?  I am having the same issue.  I don't understand why HP can't just post the steps here for reseting?  Why so cryptic, sending details via private email to the first questioner?  Can't you see there are TONS OF PEOPLE HAVING THIS SAME F"ing ISSUE with no resolution??

How do we fix this?  There are tons of us with same issue -- why not post the steps here?  So weird sending details in PM instead of posting for us all to fix this issue.  What a pc of junk -- HP - blah!!

Deskjet 2700 printing part of documents

Hi,

I am having issues with my printer where it either prints part of the document or nothing at all, and when it does print  part of the document it's very slow.

I have tried following all the suggested solutions and then I managed to print about 20 full page documents but it's now gone back to printing a small part of the document or nothing at all.

Also, by me trying all these solutions has now nearly used up all my print credits for the month when I've only been successful in printing 20 whole pages.

Any help as soon as possible will be greatly appreciated as I've got a lot of stuff I need to urgently print.

Thanks

Same. This does not fix the problem. Connecting to the IP is not working here at our office.
