Ok guys so have some good news.  HP is getting ready to release a new firmware as they are aware of the issues with the most recent firmware.   There is an older firmware version floating out there that I was able to get 1908c this was released in 2019.  It works just fine for everything.  If you can hold out till the next release it would be better.  However if you want to search you can find it out there.  You will need to put the pul2 file onto a usb drive insert it into the printer and it will ask you to update the printer.

I got the old firmware from an HP support rep, who, instead of simply directing me to a site to download it, insisted on downloading it herself during a screen share.  I had to place the file on a clean thumb drive (hard to find one of those in 2021) and flash downgrade the printer using a few secret/unpublished commands involving holding down the power key and selecting a combination of the back>home>back>home until you get a menu where you can flash downgrade the beast.  It will have to suffice until HP steps up with new firmware.

Printer Envy 6455e printer stuck to error code 9

I purchased brand new envy 6455e all-in-one printer. I am now very stressful because the printer displays E 9 and the light is blinking. I searched the problem in this  HP  community, so I found the article (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/HP-Envy-Pro-6455-Error-E9/td-p/7795086).

I did the process described in the article above, I set up wireless setup again, and touched the i information button, Then, the test paper was printed containing the printer status, connected wireless network, etc.

And let the printer still for 3 hours in order to update firmware in recovery mode. And then the printer light turned into the blue light from the orange light. So I expected the problem was fixed. But, I tried to print a document using mobile App (Smart HP) and it does NOT work. The error message was "Printer Error" (maybe different because I am using Korean.)

Is there any method for "Factory Initialization mode"?

Recurrent Ink Cartridge error

I have an OfficeJet 4655 that keeps giving the message "Ink Cartridges Problem" "Remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed.  If this message continues to appear replace the indicated ink cartridge."  \

I think the Black is indicated by the three black dots that appear below the message.

 

I removed and reinserted the black cartridge (and the colored cartridge just in case) SEVERAL times.  I can print once then get the message again.  I replaced the black cartridge with a brand new one.  I can print once, then the message reappears.  

 

I tried unplugging the unit for a few minutes then plugging it back in and powering it up.  Got the message again.  

 

How can I fix this?

blue screen error code 8af3001

Printer screen has blue screen with error 8af30001. Turning on/off printer does not clear it, blue screen 8af30001 is all that comes up. What does this error code mean?

Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw misprint error

Whenever I try to print a multipage document, the printer will start printing and a few pages in, it always first starts cleaning then says misprint. Sometimes it even says paper jam rear door. Not sure what's causing the issue. Printer firmware is up-to-date as well as all my other devices that I print from. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have gone and tried all your suggestions and its still making a terrible grinding noise in idle.

I'm also getting Error Code 0XB3D65A2B and all lights start flashing on my HP OfficeJet 5258 Printer. It just started to happen after working for well over a year. I hit and hold the power off button to recycle the printer. It will work for a few minutes and fail again.

Margins shifting down while duplex printing

Margins are shifting down by around half inch on every odd number pages after manually inserting the pages second time. Tried Adobe, Chrome and even the HP Smart for duplex printing and everything giving the same error. Print previews are all okay.  Anybody got a fix for that? or any other application that fixes this?

Double sided copy failed

Re HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus

 

I tried to do a double sided copy of an A5 original but after the first pass the error message came up saying that the printer did not support this size of copy and to put the original on the glass plate.

 

But I cannot find the original! So what is the path for the original on the first pass, and where is it now so that I can recover it?

 

It is not on the glass nor in the document feeder tray and not in the final tray. So what path does it take between side one and side two?

Keeps printing 30 copies even though I set the quantity to be printed as 1.

I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this error. We need to perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Oxc19a0005 or similar error code displays

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your computer.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Check for any jams inside the printer and make sure the print carriage is moving freely. 

Follow the steps on - Carriage jam or E3 error

 

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printer. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

supply problem

Color Laserjet Pro M254nw - stuck showing Supply Problem error despite new cartridges being installed.  Has latest firmware, tried turning off for 60 secs, checked that cartridge check is turned off.  If anyone else has been able to fix and clear this message and can send me a fix I would be most grateful.

Letter Not Loaded In Tray message. Model Envy 7858

I am getting a Letter Not Loaded In Tray message when I attempt to print from my PC.  I Connect wirelessly to the printer.  I can print a test page at the printer, and can print from my iPad.  Just not my PC.  The print job goes in queue with the above referenced message.  Do not know how to fix?
