Here are some steps you can take to resolve the printer offline and paused print job issues.
Windows:
- Change Printer Status:
- Click the Start button, then select Settings.
- Click Devices, then Printers and Scanners.
- Locate your printer in the list, right-click it, and click Use Printer Online if it's showing "Offline".
- If your printer status is Paused, right-click the printer, and click Resume Printing.
Mac OS X:
- Printer Queue:
- Click System Preferences in the dock, then select Printers & Scanners.
- Choose your printer, then click Print Queue.
- If Jobs Stopped appears in the window, click Start Jobs.
Additional Troubleshooting Steps:
Restart HP Network Device Support Service (Windows only):
- Delete any print jobs currently in the print queue.
- On the desktop, right-click My Computer or Computer, then click Manage.
- Double-click Services and Applications, then click Services.
- Scroll down the list of services, right-click HP Network Devices Support, then click Restart.
- After the service restarts, try using the printer over the network again.
Firewall Settings:
- If you cannot access the Embedded Web Server and are sure that both the computer and printer have active connections to the same network, the firewall could be blocking communication.
- Temporarily turn off any firewall security software running on your computer.
- Try accessing the Embedded Web Server again and use the printer for printing.
Printer Reset:
- If needed, you can restore the printer to factory defaults to remove all user settings, network configurations, and saved data.
hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
