I fixed it myself.  I found a soultion.  It been a a day without shutting off.  What I ended up doing is resetting my Printer to Network Default settings.  You first need to unplug your Router, then go to your network setting on the printer and click restore to default settings.  Once you click yes and its restore to Factory settings.  Plug your Router back in and reconnect.  So far so good.  No HP Support just community support.  Let me know if it works for you.

 I have tried to set up my printer. I know im hopeless. It use to print and the next time i went to print it wouldnt print anything. NOW IM LOST. I deleted it and reset it up. It prints the HP data page and photos but there is no text.  I am completely confused as it  worked before. Albiet it didnt scan but it printed ,. Why am i such a lamebrain. Can anyone help but it easy jargon please

"Filter failed"

Been trying to print for the past week, but I keep getting a "filter failed" error. I've already tried everything suggested in every other thread about this error, but nothing worked.

Printer doesn’t work

The malfunction began last Friday. The printer informed me that she needed to be updated - for some reason - and from noon until night she tried to update (I do not even know what she wanted to update), without success, turned herself off, and so on. I tried to stop her several times during her attempt because I saw that she was not succeeding. It seemed to stop - but again it turned off, turned on, and tried to download the update again.
On Saturday morning, I woke up and saw that the printer had turned off completely. I needed it at those hours so, I pressed the power button to turn it on. With no response, I realized something strange was happening. I unplugged it and put it back on - it turned on, everything seemed fine so I went my way. After a while, when I wanted to print, I went to it and saw that, again it was turned off. Now it no longer announces the download or anything like that, just turns off. It does not matter if I unplugged or returned - without success. what can I do? Has my printer been destroyed?

Hello,

 

On my HP ENVY 4520 series. I have always used original HP Cartridge.

 

Here is the error message...


Printer Failure
0x61000072
There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If you continue to get this message, contact HP.

 

I have turned off the printer by hitting the power off button and waiting for it to shut down. When I power it back on, it says it was not shut down properly...but it was.

I have tried unplugging the printer and waiting 15 minutes to hookup and turn back on.

I have tried removing the ink cartridges and placing them back in and restarting.

I have cleaned the ink contacts as well.

 

As others may have the same issue but non of the solution provided worked for me. 😞

Unable to print from M15a Laserjet after driver upgrade

I have been using this printer successfully until Feb 2020 using OS Catalina from a MacBook Pro with non HP generic replacement cartridge.  I did not use it for 11 month as I was travelling.  Now when I try to print, the print manager shows the document sending to printer but instead of printing the print manager simply clears the document.  I have tried running tests and re-installing the print manager.  I have read elsewhere that HP are introducing 'upgrades' in an attempt to prevent use of third party replacement cartridges (which would appear to be illegal under EU law). The printer worked fine when I left Italy with the same non-HP third party cartridge and same OS software installed on MacBook Pro, so I conclude the problem is with HP software.

 

Can anyone please advise - or should I ditch the HP printer and buy a new one from Brother?  Thanks.

Hi, can I ask you? My printer write me "ready 2 download" and firmware with programm (M277_MFP_Series_FW_Update-20201119.nativeofficefonts (1)) downloading and for 3 seconds stop it.

 

Can I change formatter board and fix it?

To assist you better, kindly elaborate.

What happens when you try printing? Do you get any errors?

How is the printer connected to the PC?

 

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
