Most times the issue is the toner cartridge. To test do the following. Put a sheet of paper on the front fold down manual feed tray 1. Open tray 2. Now print a config or other test page from the reports menu. When the back edge of the paper enters the printer, quickly press the button to open the toner door which will stop the printing. Remove the toner cartridge and look at the image below. If the specks are present, then the toner cartridge and nothing else is the issue. If the specks are not present then the most likely cause is the fuser. If the toner cartridge you can not fix it, but have to replace the toner cartridge.

But we still don't know what model we really have, the M600 series are single function, and the title says this is an MFP, which would be an M680, and the tray lift would be different depending on which one it really is.

Is the Printhead problem on the HP PhotoSmart 7515 cartrige failure or printhead failure? My printer is full of black ink. Is it ruined?

PRINTER HP 6525 CANNOT COPPY & SCAN
The printer screen show " ! Scanner Problem, Turn printer off and then on. If the problem is not fixed, the scanner component is broken and cannot copy or scan"
Ok, I did alrady (turn off and then on) but the printer screen sitll show text " ! Scanner problem ...." again.

printer won't print in black ink
My printer ws wrking fine...ran out of black ink ... I changed the black cartridge only, then it wouldn't print. I followed the directions to have the printer clean the print heads ... still wouldn't print so I changed the black cartridge again and it still will not print. I did the alignment test, cleaned print heads again and I still can not print in black ink. I can print in color ink with no problem though!!!! HELP!!!! Thank you.

HP Deskjet 820cse Printer
I have an old HP Deskjet 820cse printer that has been wonderful for my needs for many years & is still in very good condition. (It's been very good with ink.) Recently bought a new Dell Inspiration computer (64 bit) with Windows 7 Professional installed & this printer worked just fine when connected with a printer cord with USB connection. Upgraded to Windows 10 a few weeks ago (was told that I'd end up in the same situation as I was in with Windows XP having no support from Microsoft, so I should upgrade) & it would not print, even though it was listed as a printer in 'Hardware & Sound' in the computer control panel. My son tried to get it to work this evening & now it is no longer listed in 'H & S'. The 'HP Diagnostic Tools' site does not find that it even exists. The printer is connected by USB port, as it was with Windows 7. It is plugged in & has a green light on & the ink cartridges slide when the door is opened, as when it's time to replace them.
I have spent hours tonight looking at new printers & I am so confused (I'm old & I just need a simple printer). Please, if anyone can help me figure out how to make this HP Deskjet 820cse printer work on Windows 10, I would appreciate it so much.

It seems to be a printer hardware issue ( scanning module ).
When the printer is ON, open the scan lid(cover), check if the scan carriage moves and is lit up.
If it does not move or lit up, its time to replace the printer.

Web interface password reset
Previous IT set the printer up but the web service or sign in password is gone. I would like to get access to the web interface.
Looks like the best option is a nvram reset. However, I can't figure out how to do it with my printer. I have seen the steps for a different model but cannot find the steps for the:

customer paper size
Hi everyone,
I've never posted on a forum before but I am about to have a melt down! I am trying to print my wedding invitation. they are a custom size of 19.7x13.9 cm. i have tried to add the custom paper size by following instructions on other posts, but this still hasnt worked. paper/output is missing in the advanced settings.
help would greatly be appreciated because i have also purchased HP printers, but if I have to purchase a new one for this I will not be purchasing HP as I am worried ill have the same problem.

photosmart 5520
After every use, I turn my HP Photosmart 5520 printer off using the power button and then unplug it (limited outlets in a dorm room). It's posed absolutely no problem until today when, upon plugging it in and turning it on, it said to turn it off to "avoid damage."
This repeated about three times before I shut it down and quit trying. I would turn it off as it said but something inside the printer kept running (like it was continuously running paper) until I unplugged it.
I'm not entirely sure what to do at this point.
Any advice?

Well that is exactly what happend to my HP B8550. I used to have an HP laser printer from the 80's that I got when the company I worked for was upgrading. It lasted me for more than 15 years and thousands of prints, maybe 10s of thousands. This printer only a few years. The sad part is that there are 4 electrolytic caps on the board and two fo them are Nichicon, a high quality Japanese capacitor. I used to design pwoer adapters fot the Lenovo Think group (the old IBM). In the specs we received it was specifically prohibited to use any electrolytic that was not manufactured in Japan. For this very reason. There are only two components that "wear out" in power electronic design. Electrolytics and fans. poor quality in either will gurantee premature failure. The sad part is, for those two components they only saved a few cents. To have any product fail due to the use of low quality elctrolytics is a indictation of the design philosophy of the company. We all know where HP is now heading.

PSS HP made getting to this board very dificult. Not a repair you will do in 30 min (ulless perhaps you have done it before)

Probably you use webmail. Firefox and Internet Explorer (may be other browsers too) allow you to increase/decrease font size in % using Scaleoption. Please click Print (or Print Preview) and on the top of the screen you can see Scale - You can select % from there then Print.

NEW OUT OF THE BOX 6520E -ERROR OXC19A0013
Got the printer for X-mass as a gift, have not had a chance to use it due to having purchased ink for my5 year old Brother Printer in Novenber, Just ran out of ink for the Brother and installed this unit. The disk would not load the software ( on the desk top or lap top) so I went on line and loaded it.
Followed the install on the printer and then the trouble code OXC19A0013 poped up on the printer. It said to contact HP. It stated there was a problem with the ink systen / printer head.

Lost duplex printing in windows 10
Previous laptop had hardrive failure. Bought a new laptop and installed windows 10. Then proceeded to the HP site to install the driver after checking compatibility with windows 10. Everything appeared to work properly, except I lost the ability to select automatic duplex printing. I've checked the troubleshooting from previous OS and tried the recommended suggestions, and they do not work to fix this issue in windows 10. Suggestions? Thanks
