Hi,
Don't you see a Proceed option under Advanced, as seen by the below example?
Hi,
Don't you see a Proceed option under Advanced, as seen by the below example?
Hi,
Legal Size is not supported by the printer indeed, the maximum paper length supported b the printer is 12.2 in, while the Legal size is 14 inches long.
See Media sizes, custom in here.

My printer is barely over a year old and barely used. The original cartridges were empty, mostly from printer maintenance tasks, so I bought new cartridges and installed all 4 black and colour cartridges, 902XL (VERY expensive). Since then, the colour cartridges print perfectly, but not even a hint of black ink whatsoever. I followed every step suggested on the HP support page and on the support community forum thread here:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/HP-6978-won-t-print-black-ink/td-p/5922581/page/1
It still prints no black at all and I have wasted about $30 of ink (about 1/3 used from each) from the brand new colour cartridges. I even thought it may have been a faulty black cartridge, so I tried the second black cartridge from my Costco 2-pack (did I mention, VERY expensive?) to no avail.
I am about ready to take it to the recycling depot and never buy another HP printer. I previously had an 8500 series and had nothing but issues with it, too, having to replace the printhead, and wasting a fortune in ink there, too. I am at my wit's end and will be so angry if this is not fixable within only a few months of the warranty expired and not even getting past the original ink supplied with the unit. 😞
Almost feels like it was set up to fail from the factory, right after the warranty expiration in July!
Any help greatly appreciated! I have only printed maybe 20 pages from this thing - it's practically brand new!
Hi team, hi Kumar0307.
Thanks for your answer. I bought the printer in Central America but the cartridges were bought in USA.
Of course, I just learned that different regions mean different cartridge models.
Is there any way:
1. To use those HP 952 in my printer? Resetting procedure (not the one you mentioned in your post), or any other way...
2. If not possible, to have a refund? I asked specifically to the HP support guy in the store in USA. Of course neither he lied to me not he asked me about where my printer was acquired.
Please, I will appreciate your kindness. Hope this can be solved.
Best regards,
-n
Ended up using an Epson xp series printer which still has the mirror function, sorted it without any help from hp, looks like the hp once the inks are used will be replaced with an Epson printer
Hi, I have an issue with my HP Officejet 3830. It's kind of random, sometimes it words, sometimes not. Now, it says the cartridge is not intended to be used with this printer (or something similar). What I do to fix it is to open the front "door", where you can access the cartridges, and close it. This allows me to print again. However, after printing, I get the same error message. In short, for every document I print, I have to do the door workaround.
Why do I get this message and how do I fix it?
Thanks.

Hey Riddle_Decipher
Thank you so much for your help! The new cartridge has arrived and I installed it yesterday and my printer is working perfectly!
I can't thank you enough as posting to here was my last resort having had no luck with support or the virtual assistant! You should be commended for your efforts.
I'll accept as solution now, have a fantastic day.

Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printer issue.
To better assist you - May I have the exact model name of the printer? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
While you respond to that, try pressing the question mark icon.
Also, try these steps to reset the printer -
1) Take out the cartridges.
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue.
Try these steps to restart the print spooler -
1. Turn off the printer using the power button.
2. Search Windows for run, and click the Run Windows application in the list of results.
3. Type services.msc in the Run window, and then press Enter on the keyboard.
The Services menu opens.
4. Right-click Print Spooler and select Stop.
5. After the service has been stopped, close the service window and use Windows Explorer to browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS.
6. Delete all files inside the PRINTERS folder.
7. Restart your computer.
8. Turn on your printer.
9. Try printing again.
If the issue still persists, try re-installing the printer driver -
1. In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
2. Look for HP Printer software.
3. Right-click to uninstall.
4. In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.
5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10. Select Ok.
11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13. Restart the computer.
14. Download and install the software and drivers from here for Windows 8.1 (64-bit).
15. Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Have a great day!
I have an 18 month old deskjet 2630 that I have used to print less than 5 pages a month. I printed out some text yesterday which started off clearly and then detoriorated to nothing (there were intermittent lines as it faded). I assumed the ink had run out as I was still using the original test cartridge that came with the printer and replaced it with a full new HP (instant ink) cartridge. Unfortunately the printer still will not print in black, I have tried cleaning, aligning etc but can't complete the alignment properly as the black won't print on the aligment page or any test page. When I view the printer ink levels they show as full and again show no error messgaes. The printer goes through the motions of printing it just comes out with a blank page except for the colour which it prints fine. I have tried cleaning the contacts as in previous posts but that hasn't worked and I have tried the old switch off and back on agian. Any suggetions?
Almost everytime I try to print, the quality is bad.
Missing text, lines over pictures etc.
I have tried everything on the printer as support, by cleaning and adjusting. But it doesnt help.
The only thing that makes it a little better is to change the quality of the print from normal to high, but there is still some sentences that dissappear.
Its uaually okay when the ink is brand new, but it doesnt take long until the problems comes back.
Is there a way to clean the printer manually? Im thinking maybe that can be a solution.
(I have also tried to clean the inkpatron) Not sure that is the right word for it though 😛
A couple of days ago, printed on the printer.Suddenly, the printing process is stopped. From that moment the printer "hung".The "Continue process","information"and the on / off button are flashing. All problem notification icons appear on the printer display. The printer does not respond to anything at all.Attempts to fix the problem with HP Scan and Doctor came to nothing.Performed various methods specified on the official website in the support Service-also to no avail. One thing is for sure: the printer was not flooded with water,it did not jam a sheet of paper, there was enough ink in it,and there were no sharp voltage drops in the power supply.
A huge request: tell me what may be the cause and how you can fix this problem. The printer is brand new, was bought less than a week ago and worked for only two days...
Hi
Is this printer enrolled in the Instant Ink plan? If yes, please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Let me know.
I have had the error that there is a problem with the printhead and then a code of B8BDEEDE came up flashing on a blue background. Does anyone know what this means please?
While I was waiting for your reply I found an easier way to fix it and that was to delete the Printer completely and reinstall it from Scratch, and presto it works like a charm, which also has me wondering why these easier and quicker ways are not put forward as an alternative to the question asked. (we are not all geniuses when it comes to computers)
I have the same issue, and did all suggestions. I have uninstalled all HP software, reinstalled it, not fixed. Uninstalled all HP envy, uninstalled drivers for envy 4500, reinstalled. Not fixed.
If I try to scan from any computer app I get the attached error.
I have used scan doctor it says I don't have the correct drivers. My drivers are all correct and up to date, those have been uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.
I have tried both a wi-fi connection and USB
I have always had a connection and can print with no issues.
scan doctor once I skip past the drivers then gets hung up on WIA for about an hour, once past that it still will not scan.
It is crazy how about two weeks ago it worked fine. I am thinking some new update on windows side has now made the scanner messed up.
Occasionally using the envy 4500 scan app it will tell me the scanner is busy even after I have unplugged it and restarted it, Nothing is printing or scanning when I am told it is busy with another job. I will hit print and print, then try to scan and it will say it is busy.
I have the same issue as a lot of people it looks like. My 4500 no longer will scan. I did all suggestions I have seen through out threds.
