Hello,

 

It looks like the AirPrint is not supported on your printer.

 

I'd suggest you take out the media from the main tray, load the photo paper in the main tray and adjust the paper guides to hold the photo paper in the main tray. Then try to print on the photo paper and check.

Ink Problem

My HP printer has been workign well until last week. It doesnt seem to recognise the black ink cartridges I put in, even though they are HP and from PC world- the colour one is fine. Any tips?? pls help

I tried your suggestion and it did work , its just kind of a pain to have to do that ,but at least I can print .

Thanks for the reminder about Split VPN stuff.  Sadly our corporate IT weenies don't think that is safe so we don't have it.

 

No way to do wireless or even network wired to the printer.  My USB cable is the only way.

 

Full driver and software installed (minus the OCR stuff, sorry never needed this feature and it is really big install).

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the ink cartridge error on your HP Deskjet 2510 printer.  See the section near the bottom:

Issue: One or both Ink Level icons display as empty and blink fast, the Ink Error Indicator blinks fast, and the Attention light is on

Printer, when either printing or copying, smears lines, repeats lines and in general doesn't work.  I've done all the troublesooting steps (clean printheads, alingment, etc.).

Ink levels fine.  diagnostics say printheads fine.

Even though the Officejet 6830 is out of warranty I would suggest you check the document here.  If the printer was purchased it less than two years ago HP should replace it.

 

Please post back here with your results of if you need further assistance.

 

 

 

All print going to fax queue

After a recent change to my wi-fi I am having printer issues.

 

I can print a test sheet  and scan via the web interface but if I try to print from e-mail / Word etc. it connects to the printer but says it has put it in the fax queue.  There is no fax connected.

 

I have tried deleting and reinstalling the printer.  The default printer that appears in the selection box says (fax) after the model. ( I believe this information is picked up from scanning the network to identify printers) .   I have tried overwriting this by selecting the driver manually from the main list but this does not help.

 

Also the window that opens to show the print queue no longer has a scanner icon on the top right.

 

Please help.

Well - I figured out the problem.  Just in case some printer-driver programmer monitors this board, here's source of the problem - and if you care to fix your printer driver you can.  (Fat chance!  I'm afraid the idea of bug free programming went the way of the OS360).

 

I had created a document with a 5"x7" paper size in MS Word 2010.  With that document still open, I attempted to print an address label to affix to the envelope for this document.  The label was on an Avery 8.5"x11" sheet.  The printer was set for 8.5"x11" paper.  With this situation, no matter what I did, a 3-line address only printed the first line on the label.

 

However - once I closed the document.  Closed MS Word, then re-opened the application and attempted to print a label with no other documents open, the label printed correctly.  

 

Another printer (e.g. Canon) do not demonstrate this anomaly - don't know whether other HP printers do, I don't have one to test.

I understand that this is not the appropriate solution for the issue. I'd definitely update you once we have a permanent fix with the app. In the meantime, please perform all the updates for the HP AiO app.

HP6600 won't print even after shutting down and successfully printing a job.

My HP 6600 is connected to my wifi as is my laptop. Everytime I print, I need to turn my printer on and off for the laptop to see the printer and print. Or it delays for a long time maybe 15 minutes or longer and finally prints 

For example, I turned it on and off so it printed a job in the queue, then I went back to my laptop to print again a different doucument and it did not see the printer and did not print, even though it was within a minute of printing the first  document.

I would suggest you contact the Instant Ink Support team by phone. Click on this link.  When the Instant Ink support page opens check the flag at the top of the page and make sure you have the correct country selected.  Look for the phone number in the lower right of the opening picture. 

 

Note that pages will count toward the Instant Ink usage if *any* Instant Ink cartridges are installed.  

 

Call the support folks and explain the situation, I would expect they should be able to resolve this.  Please post back here if things are not resolved.

OKay, I already had set a static IP but I had not set up my connection as a TCP/IP port.  Did that, will let you know if this fixes it.  Thanks everyone for the quick responses.

black ink not working

Im experiencing black ink printing it just stop printing tried everything

replace twice genuine cartridges nothing plz assist
