ENVY Inspire 7900e series stuck on validating

Changed the color ink cartridge (using an Original HP ink cartridge 64) and now my printer has been stuck saying "validating - please wait" for HOURS!!  I tried putting the old cartridge back in, also putting the old black cartridge back in  and it still sits at "validating - please wait."  I have unplugged the printer from the power, waited a few minutes and restarted with no luck. cleaned the contacts. model#:7955e


Blue Screen 00829C98

Hi, I have an HP Envy Photo 7155. I had a power outage and now my printer is no longer working. It shows a blue screen with the error 00829C98. I tried following some instructions from another user with this same problem (unplugged the power cord from both the back of the printer and the outlet, then uninstalled and reinstalled the ink cartridges), however, this did not work. Is my printer just dead now?

Hello community,

after a fuser error 50.2 I replaced the fuser with a new one. The error switched to 50.4, which appears shortly after powering up. The photorelay on board RM1-8705 gives a voltage of 3.00V in obstructed state.

The second photorelay  on that board for the backside panel detection gives 3.30 V obstructed and 0.13V unobstructed. I am in doubt, if one sensor RPI-579 is the cause,

Does anybody know which voltages are expected at the different  test points of the board?

Printing blank pages, if printing anything at all

This printer is about a month old. When I began using it, it would give me error messages every time I tried to print, so I would cancel the printing job, and 1-2 hours later, it would randomly print it out. This is whether I was connected via my wifi or via the printer's wifi direct network. Within the past two weeks, it has stopped doing even this. It prints when I send a job, but it only prints blank pages (and often grabs 3-4 pages instead of 1 at a time). The diagnostic page prints out fine and I have ink. I tried HP Smart Diagnose and Fix, which said everything was working correctly. I have power cycled it multiple times. I made sure my laptop was fully updated including the most recent drivers for the printer, and also tried from my iphone in case it was a problem with my device. Nothing changes. Not sure what to do at this point other than buy a new printer, which I'd rather not do.

I am the admin and evidently do not know what to do.  no password was set for printer

Thank you for the response. I tried the steps you suggested and I'm still getting an error. Technically now it's reading 0x61000048. But every time I restart the printer, no matter how long has passed, it starts, says that the printer wasn't properly shutdown, stays I should check for a paper jam, tries to do printer maintenance, and then shows the printer failure message. Any other suggestions?

Impresora HP Smart Tank 519, no imprime nada, realiza la acción de imprimir pero en blanco. Se conecta a wifi imprime en blanco. Se le saco aire a las mangueras de tinta. Se limpio con alcohol isopropílico por donde sale la tinta. En conclusión: No imprime por wifi y tampoco por la propia impresora.

I started having this issue recently "paper size is too small or too large for the duplexer" on my Hp laserjet M227 sdn printer. I tried to reset the printer back to default settings but had no luck. Issue still persists. I basically can no longer do automatic doublesided printing.

Device is working but frequently HDD System Failure S1-2448 and S1-2443 call for service message is appearing on screen. I have to reboot the system and it will work but after taking printings of 10 to 15 pages same error occured. Kindly help to resolve. Model No.: M72825dn

Where do I find support, parts or instructions to replace/Install a waste Toner tank

Does anyone know where I can get support, instructions or parts to replace/install waste toner tank on an HP Color Laser MFP 178nw?  There is nothing on HPSmart or on the online manual for 170 series printers.   I know it is old but it works for me and the expense of purchasing a new one is not possible at this time.

HP's software is always so disappointing... the MacOS options stop at around 10.x and I have Sonoma 14.x; is the driver software ever updated and tested?  I don't think so.  The firmware updater download goes out to lunch when I try to install it.  The printer webpage monitor can not be displayed.  Printing from an iPhone works fine!  But if you can't install whatever updates HP eventually offers, it doesn't really do a lot of good.

You're correct that EventCode 17.03.90 on the HP OfficeJet Pro 9022e typically refers to a cartridge-related message—in this case, a Magenta ink low or nearing depletion. However, this should not prevent or significantly delay printing unless:

  • The cartridge is completely empty or not recognized.
  • The printer firmware or driver is reacting incorrectly to the low ink status.
  • There is a communication or spooling issue specific to macOS Monterey.

Since your wife's Mac (on Monterey) experiences delays or fails to print while your Ventura Mac works fine, this points to a driver or compatibility issue rather than a hardware or network problem.
 

Suggestions to Resolve the Delayed Printing on macOS Monterey:

Use AirPrint Instead of HP Driver:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Remove the printer.
  • Re-add it using AirPrint (default macOS driver), not the HP Smart driver.

Reset the Printing System on Monterey:

  • Go to Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Ctrl-click) on the printer list and choose "Reset printing system".
  • Then reinstall the printer and select AirPrint.

Disable IPv6 on the Printer:

  • Log into the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) via IP address in a browser.
  • Go to Network Settings > Advanced > IPv6.
  • Disable it and save.
  • Some macOS versions hang or delay printing when IPv6 is partially enabled.

Set a Static IP for the Printer:

  • Assign a static IP from the printer’s control panel or from your router.

Update HP Software (if using HP Smart):

  • While you mention firmware is up-to-date, check if the HP Smart app on your wife’s Mac is updated.
  • Alternatively, uninstall HP Smart and use system printing via AirPrint instead.

Check Print Queue Behavior:

  • On the Monterey Mac, when the print job is delayed, open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Open Print Queue.
