@Pennypoopy, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

PDF Rendering Issues:

  • If the streaks only appear on certain PDF documents, try printing a different PDF file to see if the issue persists.
  • Open the PDF in a different reader (Adobe Acrobat, Edge, Chrome) and print from there.
  • Try printing the form as an image (In Adobe Acrobat: Print > Advanced > Print as Image).

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to Control PanelProgramsPrograms and Features. Find and uninstall any HP printer software.
  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and download the latest drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

Smudged Rollers or Ink Residue:

  • Manually clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and distilled water. Streaks can be caused by ink buildup inside the printer.
  • Try a nozzle check and alignment from the printer’s maintenance menu.

Lines on the page can be caused by different issues, depending on the type of line.

  • Smudged or streaky marks: This may be due to a dirty fuser. Over time, toner can build up on the fuser and get transferred back onto the paper.
  • Thin, defined black lines: This could mean the drum or developer is scratched, causing the laser to refract and create a defect.
  • Blank or white lines: Something may be blocking the toner from reaching the paper. Check the transfer roller under the toner for obstructions.
  • Repeated marks or defects: A dirty fuser could be the cause, especially if glue or wax from labels and envelopes has built up.

Error code MemAllocError Position 21

If anyone else has seen or knows what this code means any help would be appreciated!

I’m trying to print my kid’s project which has colors and a good amount of graphics (solar system) but nothing too complex and I keep getting the message:

PCL XL error

Subsystem: GEDI

Error: MemAllocError

Operator: ReadImage

Position: 21

my printer has enough memory and I’ve printed other colorful material before that are complex with no issues. I tried printing one page at a time but only the first page printed.

I tried contacting HP support but it’s crazy they want me to pay $89 just to tell me what the error code means since my warranty expired last month.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8100 printer that is connected by USB printer cable. The printer shows online in control panel but when you do a test page it gives a print error. I tried swapping the printer with the same model, change the ink cartridges, power cycled the printer and pc, checked for paper jams and even swapped the printer head. I have also tried reinstalling the drivers for the printer, but I get the same error when trying to print.

@RichieFenton-1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Event Code 62.80.AO

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Event code 62.80.A0 for an HP printer indicates a paper jam or obstruction in the printer. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open all access points and remove any paper or objects causing the jam.
  3. Check for any torn pieces of paper or debris and remove them.
  4. Reassemble the printer and plug it back in.
  5. Turn on the printer and try printing again.

Keep me posted.

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Error message every print job

Every print job that I send to the printer over 2 or 3 pages in length, I receive an error message that the job can not be printed.  The print job does print.  But then the job sits in the queue until I run the print doctor to clear the queue.  The printer works but it is very annoying to run a print job and then run print doctor to fix the errors.  I did not have this problem with my windows 10 machine.  My windows 11 machine is new, not an upgraded windows 10 machine.

I have the same problem, new yellow cartridge says "PrinterFailure", put the depleted one back in and it comes up fine. I tried replacing all 3 to the new set and that didn't work. With the depleted set in place I tried cleaning the printhead (setup>tools submenu). No help. Trying the align the printhead says you must replace depleted cartridge to resume printing.

I guess I'm also left with the solution described in this thread to pay the money for a new printhead, or just eat the cost of the ink and get a new printer.

<<I’m experiencing the same issue as others have reported. I’d like to hear if anyone who bought a new printhead have tried it with the ink cartridges that weren’t cooperating.>>

Sorry. I cannot help. I'm still using the "Starter" set" which came with the new printhead. When these are depleted, I'll try the cheap alternative cartridges which I used to use in the old printhead

Subject: Ongoing Stacker Issues – Seeking Solutions

Hi everyone,

We're experiencing ongoing issues with our stacker. The machine isn't stacking properly—our 30x42 prints come out staggered rather than in a clean, uniform stack. This makes binding nearly impossible, forcing us to manually separate and restack each drawing set just to make them bindable. It's a major bottleneck in our production process.

Service technicians have been here over eight times, but they continue to insist the machine is functioning "to spec." Despite their recommendations—including running dehumidifiers—we have seen no improvement. As it stands, this machine is practically useless until the issue is resolved.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated, as service has been no help so far.

Thanks in advance!

Best,

-Scott
