printer not sensing paper size and not taking from selected paper drawer
Unable to print in color.
I have an HP Desk Jet 2852e. I am unable to print in color unless I print directly from my HP account. Anytime I try and send something to print from my Mac, it doesn't even have color as an option. Any ideas? I've tried reaching out to HP support, but never get a response.

The printer does not have a paper sensor that automatically detects paper and / or what you want to do.
The best you can do is to properly set up the Tray and Paper settings (in the Printer Control Panel and / or EWS)
If you use the "auto" setting for Source (Tray) in the job configuration setup, the job setup might -- or might not - do what you want. Best to check before printing.
Some apps and software are smarter than others.
Best scenario:
- Adjust Paper and Tray at the Printer Control Panel and / or using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Set Printer Default Print options (in EWS)
- Select the Source during job configuration

Printer cannot print
Hello, I am experiencing issues again with my printer, which is not printing and displays the error message "printer cannot print". I had the same issue a year ago, and it was resolved by an agent who remotely accessed my notebook. Please refer to the support history from January 24, 2024, where the problem was fixed. I need similar assistance, as the printer started having issues on the same date as last year, and it's challenging to get prompt support. Thank you for your attention.

If your HP printer displays a "cannot print" message, the first steps to troubleshoot are usually to check if there is paper loaded in the tray, check ink levels, and ensure the printer is properly connected to your device; if that doesn't work, you can try restarting the printer, checking for any error messages on the printer display, and then use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose the issue further

That's not unusual for USB-based firmware or BIOS updates. As a general rule, having a single file on a single partition tends to work the best (most on-device firmware updaters have pretty simple filesystem scanning code).

While print from a PDF, Excel and word files, the first two or three pages print properly then it prints only half of the page.

Which printer?
Print out did not came out in order
Hi There,
I am printing different documents in sequence eg: Set A B C D. Sent to print all at one go.
However, the printout came out in this sequence instead D C B A.
This is not the norm and is causing confusion. Last set of documents sent to print, was printed 1st and the first document sent to print came out last. Why is this so and how can this be fixed soonest?
PS: Its nothing to do with the reserve print pages within the same documents.

Using the HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone.

- Find the active print job and tap Cancel.
Using the Android Print Spooler
- Open Settings on your phone.
- Go to Connected Devices→ Printing→ HP Print Service Plugin.

Manually Cancel on the Printer
- Press the Cancel (X) button on the printer’s control panel.

Thank you, I have been using genuine HP cartridges, had the printer just under 2 years, I have already tried all the steps as per below. Think a new printer is required.

I got you! Since it’s tax season, let’s get your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e printing ASAP. let’s narrow down the issue a bit so that i have a better understanding of the issue.
- Does the printer turn on properly? (Any error messages or blinking lights?)
- How is the printer connected? (Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet?)
- Can you print a test page from the printer itself?
- On the printer touchscreen, go to Setup→ Reports→ Print Quality Report.
- Does the printer show "Offline" on your computer or device?
- Are the ink cartridges installed properly, and is there enough ink?
- Does the print job get stuck in the queue, or does the printer respond at all?
remember the more information you give the better I can assist you.
Meanwhile here are some general troubleshooting steps you can try to get your printer running.
1. Restart Everything
- Power cycle the printer: Turn it off, unplug it for 60 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Restart your computer and router (if using Wi-Fi).
2. Check Ink & Paper
- Ensure the ink cartridges are seated properly.
- Make sure there’s paper in the tray and it’s aligned correctly.

3. Run HP Print & Scan Doctor (Windows Users)
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s official site.
- Run it to automatically fix printing issues.
4. Clear Print Queue
- On Windows, open Control Panel→ Devices and Printers→ Right-click your printer → See what's printing→ Cancel all documents.
- On Mac, go to System Settings→ Printers & Scanners→ Click the printer → Open Print Queue→ Cancel all jobs.
5. Check Connection & Driver Updates

Printer has multiple errors but main one is 0xc9c7000 and prints are blurred especially on the colour. Yellow does not print at all and Magenta is often blurred/streaky or no colour. Machine has given problems since a power surge. I have performed cleaning but this has not helped.

My Envy 6032e has suddenly started printing only top third of the page, then pauses. After a minute ot two's delay it ejects the part page and then prints the full page correctly. I switch the whole system off each night but the fault is there each day
