Hi @LongBarbels,

Please find the next set of steps below.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • HP provides a diagnostic tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor which can automatically diagnose and resolve printing problems. Download and run it to check for issues.

Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily:

  • Sometimes, security software can block printer communication. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and try printing again.

Reset Printing System (Windows):

  • Press Windows + R, type control panel, and press Enter.
  • Go to Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Remove device.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Re-add your printer by clicking Add a printer and following the on-screen instructions.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any available updates. Install them and restart your computer if necessary.

Check Network Settings (if using network connection):

  • If your printer is connected over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, ensure that it is connected to the correct network and that your computer is on the same network.

Additional Tips:

  • HP Smart App: Consider using the HP Smart app to manage your printer, check ink levels, and troubleshoot issues.
  • HP Support: If the issue persists, contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Re: Information light on a HP Printer

Hi @Rachel1821,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

When the information light on your HP DeskJet 2752e All-In-One Printer keeps flashing and prints an information page repeatedly, it typically indicates that there is an issue or a setting that needs attention. Here’s how you can address and clear this feature:

Clearing the Information Light and Information Page Issue:

Check for Error Messages or Issues:

  • Look at the information page that is being printed. It may contain details about any errors or issues detected by the printer. Address these issues first to clear the information light.

Ensure Paper Tray is Correctly Loaded:

  • Make sure that the paper tray has enough paper loaded and that it is properly inserted into the printer. Sometimes, paper jams or low paper levels can trigger the information page to print repeatedly.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Verify that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink levels. Low ink levels can sometimes prompt the printer to print maintenance pages.

Perform a Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • This can sometimes clear temporary errors and reset the printer’s internal system.

Cancel Print Jobs:

  • If there are any pending print jobs in the print queue, cancel them. Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause the printer to keep printing.

Reset the Printer:

  • Press the Cancel button on the printer control panel to stop the current print job.
  • If the information page continues to print, access the printer’s control panel menu and navigate to Settings or Tools.
  • Look for an option to reset the printer to its default settings or perform a factory reset. Follow the on-screen prompts to reset the printer.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP DeskJet 2752e printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve persistent issues.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Use the printer’s control panel menu or the HP Smart app to review and adjust the printer settings. Ensure that there are no settings configured to automatically print maintenance or information pages.

  • If the issue persists after trying these steps, contact HP Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi @fullthrottle1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I see you are experiencing printer issues says problem has occurred with the HP account.

I have a few recommendations

  • Have you checked your HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.
  • Try log onto the HP Smart website if you have signed up for the HP Instant Ink plan.

Let us try these steps: Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

The next step is to update the printer firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

You are very right something was missed out from the support information. But all said and done, I tried with the theory of operation on the sequence of operation of the said printer, from all the timing and steps stated in the document everything looks okay, based on the tests I have did on the various components. just after check toner level memory the system now start communication with some optional interfaces where the duplexer comes into play. the cracking noise from the printer seem internal. So, I decided to pull out the duplexer because that is the only way test the unit. the printer started operating normal with its sequential warmup operation. I wouldn't hear any noise again. I started examining the duplex closely, the problem was a stack sensor level, which I relased it and the error disappeared. I did it yesterday. the printer is working now. thanks for feedback.

Hi @RobertMT2008 ,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

If your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer is printing non-stop and going through a ream of paper, it typically indicates a printing queue issue or a problem with the printer settings. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

Steps to Stop Non-Stop Printing:

Cancel Print Jobs:

  • On your computer, open the print queue or printer settings.
  • Cancel all print jobs that are queued up. This can often stop the printer from continuing to print unnecessarily.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, print jobs can get stuck in the queue, causing continuous printing. Clear the entire print queue to ensure no pending jobs are left:
    • On Windows:
      • Press Windows + R, type control panel, and press Enter.
      • Go to Devices and Printers.
      • Right-click on your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer and select See what's printing.
      • Click Printer from the menu bar and select Cancel All Documents.
    • On macOS:
      • Click on the Apple menu, then go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
      • Select your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer.
      • Click Open Print Queue and then Clear Print Queue.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • This can help clear any internal errors and reset the printer to its default state.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Verify the printer settings on your computer or through the printer’s control panel.
  • Ensure that the printer is not set to print multiple copies or continuously without end.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer.
  • Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve bugs or issues causing continuous printing.

Check for Malfunctioning Hardware:

  • Inspect the printer for any physical issues like jammed paper or malfunctioning components.
  • Clean the printer’s paper feed rollers and ensure there are no obstructions inside the printer.

Factory Reset (if needed):

  • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer, Note that this will reset all settings to their default values.

Refer to the printer’s user guide for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

There is a problem with the printhead

Getting an error that says “there is a problem with the printhead” for my HP OfficeJet Pro 6968. I have completed the virtual chat to troubleshoot and because the printer does not have a lever to eject the printhead, the bot directed me here. Is there a solution to fix this? I cleaned the bottom of the printhead as best as I could to reduce ink buildup. This printer has worked fine for years until yesterday.

Hi @JCorArch,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the Printer spooling

Going through your post, it looks like an issue with the print spooler. Follow the steps below to clear the print spooler:

Press “Windows key” + “r” to get the “Run” window.

Type "services.msc" to get Services – Go to “Print spooler” – Right-click and “Stop” the service.

Now again open "Run" - Type “spool” and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.

Go to services again - Start the print spooler.

Now check for issue resolution.

If the issue persists, also try clean installing the printer drivers. Here are the steps:

First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.

Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet printer entries and uninstall them.

Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.

Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.

Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.

Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

Restart your computer.

Now Click here to download and install the software.

Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Great answer! Thank you.

Every item you mentioned is helpful and valid. I came to the same conclusion. And, meanwhile, the virtual assistant helped me to solve it. I was very surprised. But, it took some time to get her to understand it. Finally, she has put the issue under the topic "Resolve print jobs stuck in the print queue (Windows)."

The process I needed to execute was the following:

Reset the Windows printing environment

Stop the print spooler, delete print job files, and then restart the computer and the printer.

1. Turn off the printer, and then unplug the power cord.

2. In Windows, search for and open Services.

3. In the Services window, right-click Print Spooler, and then click Stop.

4. After the Print Spooler stops, close the Services window.

5. In Windows, open File Explorer.

6. Browse to C: > Windows > System 32 > spool > PRINTERS.

7. Delete all files in the PRINTERS folder.

8. Shut down your computer.

9. Reconnect the power cord to the printer, and then turn it on.

10. Turn on the computer.

And it was fixed.

Thank you with regards the Adobe advice.

My advice about WinZip: don't use it. No support. Difficult to use. Not user friendly and  the application does not do what it promises to do. Therefore, I will not renew my license.

Have a great day or evening, depending of your time zone, and enjoy your weekend.

Kind regards,

P

Hi @SollyJ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the printhead of your HP Officejet Pro 8600 is stuck on the right side and you suspect that a loose cartridge is causing the issue, here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Use the power button to turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Leave the printer unplugged for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and the back of the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on and see if the printhead moves to the center.

2. Manually Move the Printhead

If the printhead is still stuck, you can try to gently move it manually::

  • Make sure the printer is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
  • Open the top cover to access the printhead and cartridges.
  • Look for the printhead on the right side.
  • Carefully and gently try to move the printhead to the center. Do not force it if it resists.

3. Check for Obstructions

While the printer is off and the printhead is manually moved, check for any obstructions:

  • Check if any cartridge is loose or out of place.
  • If you can access the cartridges, remove and reinsert them properly.

4. Clean the Printhead Path

Sometimes debris or dried ink can obstruct the printhead movement:r:

  • Ensure the printer is turned off and unplugged.
  • Open the top cover to access the printhead.
  • Use a lint-free cloth and distilled water to clean the path where the printhead moves.

5. Reset the Printer

Perform a semi-full reset:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is turned on.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on.

6. Service Mode Reset

  • Ensure the printer is turned off.
  • Press and hold the "Cancel" button and the "Power" button simultaneously for a few seconds.
  • Release the buttons and turn on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
