My printer is stuck in the Help mode. I hit the home button and ? for Help comes up.

My hp envy 5052 is stuck in Help mode. I can't get to the home screen because the ? for Help keeps displaying. How do I get rid of it?

.....Printer IS connected to Internet.   Every attempt to print brings up error messages listed above.  I am paying monthly fee for the ink cartridges. The problem has something to do with connection from ink cartridges connection to website for sending status of ink cartridges.  Any ideas?????

 

 

envy 4504 won't copy or scan but will print from computer

My envy 4504 will print from the computer but will not copy or scan. It gets stuck copying and nothing happens. i have unplugged and done all the recommended steps posted. Even plugged directly into outlet. Why will it print from computer and nothing else?

I forgot to mention that when i  eventually cancel the copying process, the first two lines of what I wanted printed get ejected out on the paper

It’s not letting me print and it’s not responding. In the Hp smart app it’s saying that it’s out of paper of the tray is open. But it’s full and it’s closed. Tried turning it off but same thing. As it is.

I wanted to add that I had this exact problem on my 8725 - Can print reports (even from the computer), can scan, but no ability to print or copy. Mth4's solution of replacing the cartridges worked for me.

 

I even tried the special OOBE reset twice, and every time there was a clicking sound from the printer showing that the hardware was getting started and then the printer screen just kept turning as if it was working on it, but nothing happened, and I would have to just cancel.

 

But when I tried one more time, not expecting anything different after having turned the printer on and off so many times, it finally said that the magenta cartridge had been depleted and would refuse to even try to print. In my case, it had been the depleted color cartridges all along that was causing this problem. After replacing the color cartridges, all 3 of which had shown that it was nearly empty, everything started working again.

 

If the printer hadn't finally said after a day of working on it that the magenta cartridge was depleted, I might not have known why the printer wasn't working. After all, the reports were printing just fine, and I had plenty of black ink, so I thought all I had to do was just not print color. It might have been good for the printer to explain why it was refusing to print, especially since I could print status reports, and I could still see color in the status reports.

 

Thanks to Mth4 for providing the solution so that I could be pretty confident that replacing the cartridges would resolve the issue without worrying about whether I would be wasting my money buying 3 new cartridges. In my case I replaced with aftermarket cartridges, and it worked fine. In the printer's setup, "Printer Maintenance," then in the "Update the Printer," you can set the printer to not even to check for an update so that new firmware will not invalidate the ink level indicator chips on the aftermarket cartridges. Having lost a whole day working on this issue, I hope somebody else going through this same issue might be able to just cut to the chase and replace the cartridges if they are having the same problem.

My HP Laser Printer HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw no longer prints via Wi-Fi.  It used to but now I have to connect via USB to print files.  When I try to print via Wi-Fi the file shows up in the print queue with a status of Error - Printing.  The various HP tests and diagnostics have not produced an answer to explain this. I am able to communicate with the printer from my laptop and even tell it to print a Network Test Report, but nothing identifies the print error.  The printer is out of warranty, so what's the next step?

HP OfficeJet 8022 with depleted cartridge is unresponsive

My printer was working fine up to this week, although I use it very rarely.

Now, when I start up my OfficeJet 8022 printer, it display the HP logo, and then starts checking the printer status.

This check lasts several minutes, and then the touch screen simply becomes blank.

If I connect to it from my Windows 11 PC, using HP Smart, I get either a "Printer status unknown", or a message about "Used or Counterfeit Cartridges Detected".

I know that one of my cartridges (all original HP cartridges) is empty... the blue one I believe.

But I just print in black and white, so I don't really care. What's annoying is that in this case I just wanted to scan a document, not even print anything.

I would even be willing to try installing a new cartridge, but given the printer state I'm not even sure how to proceed. Nothing display on the printer's touch-screen, and the cartridges cannot be accessed (all the way to the right side of the printer).
Note that I have tried

Dear Friends,

 

Appreciate if someone can help out the problem i am facing "use SETUP ink cartridge" for my  hp deskjet plus ink advantage 6075, the panel keep on flashing "E" and "0" repeatedly. I've had use 2 new sets of cartridges. Still having the same issue and now i cannot use the printer.

Hi HP,

Its me again I have a problem with one of my client  have a printer HP Ink Tank 315, its printer very, very very slow I want to know how to do a factory reset, iv done a printhead reset its okay the  printer head light not flashing anymore, but still the printer print very slow like (example; 2-3mins a pages).

Help Pls!!!
