, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

To assist you better, is the printer stuck at this error?

Are you able to bypass this error to access the home screen of the printer?

For now, power reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

If this does not help, unplug the power cable and hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds and release it. Power on the printer and check.

Also, check for any jams inside the printer. Refer to - Paper jam error

If the printer is stuck on this blue screen, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the print quality of photos are not good. Have you tried printing on regular paper and check the print quality?

Are you using HP photo papers?

Which app are you using to print photos? Check the print settings.

If the issue persists on regular paper, perform the steps mentioned in this document - Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

Check the ink levels, clean the ink cartridges, and print a test page to check the result.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

I bought a printer, HP Smart Tank 516. I want to make multiple copies, like 100 copies of one page. But I am not able to find out how many of the copies have been done. Sometimes I need to cancel to print another page but I do not know how many of them done. Could you please help me how to find it out? Even it does not show when I want to print back to back copies. It is too difficult to find out when I need to reload the papers.

Hello,

In some cases, remove the ink cartridges and reset the printer can solve the error.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Before continuing, wait until the printer is idle and silent.
  3. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
  4. Remove the ink cartridges of the printer.
  5. With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  6. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  7. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
NOTE:  HP then recommends reconnecting the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet.
  8. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  9. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically make it.
It is possible that the printer goes through a warm-up cycle. It is also possible that the printer lights blink and the carriage moves.
  10. Wait until the preheat cycle and until the printer is idle and silent before continuing.
  11. Reinsert the ink cartridge, and then close the access door to the cartridges.
  12. Print a calibration page, if prompted.
  13. If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the back of the product.
  14. Try to print.

Please update the firmware on the printer: Update the firmware on an HP printer.

, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the printer is not printing the whole page. To assist you better,

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like Word, email or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
  • Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

Got email last night from hpink telling me my printer isn’t connecting to them. This am, blue ink doesn’t print. Checked ink supply and it shows almost full. Did clean printhead page. Didn’t see any blue on printed page. Changed cartridge to new cartridge with no luck. Checked online and see others with same complaints but no solution. Am I to think I need to replace my print head? Of course it’s out of warranty.

HP Office Jet 8600 offline to my computer, but works on another on our home network

My printer is now listed in devices and printers as DO NOT DELETE - Needed for HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. I haven't been able to print anything from this computer for a couple of days, however another person on our home network can print from their computer. Yesterday the message was that the printer was offline, I triple-checked everything and it should work and does from another computer. I don't remember trying to delete anything. Any ideas how I can get it printing again?

Printer error B8200618

Hi, my printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 9015) has consistently shown a blue background with the code “B8200618” on it for over a week now and will not print from my MacBook nor any other computer in our home.  I’ve tried shutting the printer down and restarting, but can’t get anywhere with it. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!

Thank you for responding to my issue.  HP doctor doesn't recognize my printer.  I have unplugged and tried to reset the printer that way but when I plug it back in I am still at the HP screen with one dot.  The printer will not turn off at all.  I am so frustrated and have spent entirely too much time this week trying to correct the issue.  I am at a loss as to what to do.  I noticed on the community one other user spent $20 for technical support but wasn't able to reach anyone for help.  That was going to be my next approach but why would I spend the money and not get the help I need?  I haven't been entirely satisfied with the print quality either.  I've had other HP printers and PC's and have been very happy with them, this printer not so much.
