How to turn off direct wifi?

I have a HP 3700 printer. I want to turn off the direct wifi light. i want to use only the usb cord

To answer your question, yes I am a printer tech with 20+ years field experience, which I find more useful than any of the classroom training I have taken when it comes to troubleshooting problems and being able to explain things to non-technical people.

To assist you better, is the printer screen stuck at this error?

If yes, and if you have already tried a power reset and the issue persists, there are no other steps that can resolve this issue.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer. 

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 

6) Fill out the webform and proceed further.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes, you may use this link to find the phone number of the regional HP Support team: HP Phone Assist Worldwide

That's an amazing effort and quite a good job you did to make the printer work.

I used the dd command it was something like:  dd if=/dev/sda of=4730.image

I understand you are not able to print on envelopes. Are you able to print on regular paper?

 

The error E1 occurs if the paper in the input tray does not match the paper settings.

  1. Press the Cancel button .

  2. Load the correct paper or change the paper size in the software.

    Loading paper

  3. Resend the print job.

What size envelopes are you using?

This model printer supports Envelope( #10, Monarch, 5.5 bar). Click here to check the printer specifications.

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you moved and the printer is not is accepting the new region cartridges.

 

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

    I'd like to help!

     

    I understand you are receiving a "01B3B8E6" error on the printer screen.

     

    We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

     

    Try the below suggestions -

     

    Reset the product

     

    With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

    Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

    Wait at least 60 seconds.

    Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

    Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

    Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

     

     To restore the printer to the original factory defaults

     

    1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

    2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

    3. Touch Restore.

    4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

    Try the below suggestions 

     

    Reset the product

    • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
    • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    • Wait at least 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
    • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
    • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

     Try the steps in the document --Error Indicates Faulty Printhead  

     

    Also, try the steps in the document to resolve the missing black issue -Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

     

    If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

    Why is do they make it so complicated to do a simple task such as updating my address?  Poor customer service and website design. I have been trying for months now to no avail and I haven't received my ink forwarded to my new address via the USPS

    Fix Black Screen For Color Laseejet Pro MFP M283fdw

    Hello,

     

    My Hp Color laserjet MFP M283fdw is on But the screen is black and appears to be off and possibly broken when the printer is on.  I have turn the printer on and off several times as well as plugged and unplugged it from the wall outlet.  The screen does not react and appears to be off when I touch it.

    Neither my phone app or laptop can find the printer when the printer is on.   When powering on and off, the printer screen stays dark.

     

    The printer sounds like it makes normal noises when it is turned on or off or if the paper tray is opened and closed.

     

    Any help to fix the problem would be welcome.
