- Connection method - USB, physical LAN, or wireless?

HP Envy Photo 6220 ‘Cartridge Problem’ notification

My wife has recently purchased a HP Black Ink cartridge as a replacement for the original from purchase. During installation the display told me that one of the cartridges (the black one) has a problem. I have since followed the troubleshooting advice and the guidance found on the post  HP Envy Photo 6220 problem with cartridge during installatio... - HP Support Community - 6764425 however the problem persists. 

May the cartidge be defective? I am reluctant to buy a new one as we use the printer so little.

Hi ,

 

I'd like to help!

 

I understand the printer is stuck on the initialization screens

 

Try the below suggestions-

 

Reset the product

 

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware  

 

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Can not get consistent printing on anything but letter size

I just purchased a OfficeJet Pro 8025e because it prints on a wide variety of media. I specifically need 5x7 and this printer is supposed to print this size.

 

I set my Word (2016) document up and it looks perfect on screen and in print preview. I set up the printer for 2L (5x7) and loaded the media. I have wasted over a hundred sheets of 5x7 because it doesn't print/align properly. Then at times, it acts like it prints but spits out blank pages. I've tried everything from tweaking the document settings and the print settings and printer settings and nothing works consistently. It might print 5 or 10 correctly and then back to printing misaligned or blank sheets. Oh and it does print perfect on letter size paper and cardstock, 4x5 and 4x6 envelopes but as soon as I go back to 5x7 it won't print correctly.

 

I'm frustrated to the point I am ready to send this back. I am not a rookie at this. I have desktop published for over 30 years and  have used HP printers for over 20 years. i only upgraded to this one recently when my old OfficeJet died (it was 12 years old).

 

Please HELP and please provide useful and helpful answers. Yes, I've upgraded drivers, installed, reinstalled, etc.

I understand you facing print quality issues.

 

To assist better-

 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  1. Load paper into the input tray.

  2. Open or search for the HP folder in your list of installed software programs, click the folder for your printer, and then click the name of your printer.

    The HP Printer Assistant software opens.

  3. On the HP Printer Assistant window, click Maintain Your Printer.

  4. Click the Device Services tab, and then click Print Quality Diagnostics Page ().

 

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further. 

 

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

 

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Printer is not starting only power button light stays on. That is also once in 2-3 times after switching on and off. Please tell me solution

I understand you are not able to print from your PC. Bluetooth Smart is not required for printing. It is only used by the printer to search and connect to a wireless network/device.

 

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Restart the wireless router, printer, and the PC

 

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Either a 2.4GHz network or a 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
  • Try printing.

JMRI manifests printing off the bottom of letter size paper.  I find nothing in the software, in the MacBook computer or the printer that will let me adjust margins.  The operating system is MAC OS 11.5.2.

The WPS button doesn’t work. I push it for 3 or 5 seconds but the light doesn’t turn on. I have all ready tried reset. The  button lights and than turn off. Can you help please?

HP officejet Pro 6978  will not print after removing 4 items from que and no will not turn off.  Kept showing "cancelling" in screen of printer.  I have tried to turn off but does not window keeps showing shutting down and power button stays on....help.  How do I get printer back to running again?

Hp envy photo printer 7855 display will not advance to next screen

Won't reboot so I can see the menu. Stays on the hp screen with one dot lit.  on/off switch will not work.  I have tried to unplug it, hold the on/off button for 15 seconds and then reconnect.  Still will not work.
