My HP OfficeJet5740 abruptly stopped working. Documents go to the print queue, then disappear. No error messages displayed on computer or printer. I have rebooted both, run HP diagnostics, restarted print spooler and removed/reloaded drivers to no avail. Both Windows 10 and printer firmware are up to date. WIndows Device Manager tells me the printer is "working properly." I go to the Windows Settings Printers & Scanners location and "Print a test page..." Same thing. Document goes to queue then disappears as if it has printed. The printer remains silent.
I ran the "Print and Scan Doctor" app, which "Installed necessary updates." All other checks yield green results, but printer does not print a test page. I click "No Print" in the software and the app locks up. I'm baffled.
