Hi! , Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!

I understand you have issues connecting the printer to your MacBook using Bluetooth.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

As you mentioned you have issues connecting the printer to your MacBook using Bluetooth.

Try printing a Bluetooth configuration page that contains information used to set up your Bluetooth-enabled device to print to your product and try pairing with your MAC.

Follow these steps to print a Bluetooth configuration page.

  1. Load plain white paper into the tray.

  2. On the product control panel, press and hold the Bluetooth button () for three seconds. The Bluetooth configuration page prints.

Also, Follow these steps to reset the Bluetooth security settings back to the factory default settings.

  1. Press and hold the Power button ().

  2. While you hold down the Power button, press the Cancel button () four times, and then press the Resume button () six times.

  3. Release the Power button.

If the issue still persists try the steps recommended below.

Try uninstalling the printer software and reset the print system on your MAC.

The HP Uninstaller is a software application that is installed during the initial printer software installation.

1.Click Finder in the Dock.

2.In the menu bar, click Go, click Applications, and then open the HP or Hewlett Packard folder.

• If HP Uninstaller is in the folder, double click it, and then follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the software.

• If HP Uninstaller is not in the folder, continue to the next step.

3. Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock.

4.In the menu bar, click Go, click Go to Folder, type /Library/Printers, then click Go.

The Printers folder opens.

5. Click and drag the HP or Hewlett Packard folder to the Trash icon in the Dock.

6.Restart the Mac.

7.Right-click or Ctrl + click the Trash icon, and then select Empty Trash.

Try the steps to reset printing system and add the printer.

• Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.

• Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.

• Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.

• Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.

• Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.

• Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list

• Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.

• Click the “Add button” (+).

• Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.

      • Click “Print Using...” or “Use”, and then select Secure AirPrint or AirPrint. Alternatively, you may select the name of your printer if available in that list.
