Hello, thanks for the reply. I always use Mozilla Firefox, and as you know it updates itself. I did go ahead and use Explorer to try and reprint the PDF. I did not expect it to work any better, but, surprisingly it not only worked, it printed a nice dark black and absolutly no color.
Any idea why this is happening?
I do know the first time I had a problem, I ran out of ink in the middle of printing, swapped in a new HP cartridge and that is when it started to print in black and then on the right third of the page in magenta, every time I tried printing again, it seemed that more and more of the page was magenta. and it was not from top black and changing to magenta at the bottom but rather from left it was black and then magenta on the right. Again, the more times I tried the more magenta if printed.
I swapped out for still another cartridge and that cartridge started 50/50 and then as I tried again and again became more and more black but never fully black. Then it ran out of magenta and started printing in blue.
So, using Explorer seems to make it print only in black, but I don't get why it would do this at all. After all, it only started when one cartridge ran dry and I immediatly switched to a new cartridge.
