This is most likely to be of no use today. Oct 13th, 2017 but here goes
I have been progressively been pledged with the dreaded printer stall. I have changed all the print heads cleaned and inspected everything imaginable under the hood.
The printer ink carriage would sometimes stall on the left or on the right causing a clanking, grind noise. In disgust, I unplugged the machine and cleaned the driver, the software of my PC.
Today, I looked and the machine who was cold and lonely ( we have been together for 8 years) and thought to myself, It occurred to me as I sat looking at that the sound that it makes when resetting itself sounds very much the when I have used the large paper gate for 13x19 and closed it.
I plugged it in lifted the large paper gate, let it set the paper function then closed the gate. **bleep**! the printer works perfectly while only making its rest process. It printed a 11x14 perfectly plus much more.
Now I have two printers; Pro B9180 and a Canon Pixma Pro 10. Sad but true the inks are NOT compatible.
If it helps let me know.
