Need help printing remote documents locally. I'm connecting to a network at my place of business via their Remote Desktop program. For the last 4 years I had an HP Officejet 8500 Premier printer connected by USB to my home PC (Windows XP) and was able to print work documents locally at home. This week I upgraded the printer to Officejet Pro 8600 Permium and now I can't print locally. The initial printer install was wireless. HP support told me I can't print remote documents locally due to separate IP address for printer in wireless mode. So, HP support helped me convert the local printer install back to a USB connection. But I still can't print locally and HP support could not fix this problem after 45 minutes on the phone. When connected to the remote system the local printer does not show up in a search for printer devices. Any ideas? Thanks!
