This is for a LJ M1212nf MFP connected to the network working on a Win7 Pro x64.
I noticed this when I had another issue. The first issue was when using the Twain scan to feature the ADF would not feed the document. I ruled out hardware as it copied fine. I then looked under devices and printers and the printer had about 4 instances showing. I went and removed all the devices except the one that was already set to default. Afterwards the scan to feature worked properly. Afterwards I looked at devices and printers and there was a 2nd icon labeled HP LaserJet Professional M1212nf MFP (Copy 1). I checked the settings and noticed the port was set to "USB001" described as "Virtual printer port for USB". This device also says 9 pending in queue.
The scan to feature still works so I imagine the other instances were causing a conflict somehow but it still does not seem to be normal for there to be multiple instances of one printing device. Any ideas?
