If the issue is still unresolved and all the troubleshooting has been exhausted, the technician you were working with should have forwarded the case to a senior or a software engineer. The technician should have asked for a supervisor so at least things will get accomplished the way it supposed to be. IMHO, I will call HP tech support back to have it corrected.
