Hi @Pflynn82,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Reset the Printer
- Turn On the Printer: Ensure the printer is on.
- Disconnect Power: Unplug the power cord from the printer and power source.
- Wait: Leave the printer unplugged for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect Power: Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet first and then into the printer.
Note: HP advises plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet. Avoid using power strips or surge protectors.
- Turn On the Printer: If the printer does not turn on automatically, press the Power button.
Inspect the Ink Cartridges
- Access the Cartridges: Open the cartridge access door and wait until the carriage is idle.
- Remove and Inspect: Remove each cartridge and inspect them for any leaks or damage.
- Clean Contacts: Gently clean the cartridge contacts using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Reinsert Cartridges: Carefully reinsert the cartridges.
Update Printer Firmware
- Ensure you have the latest firmware updates, as outdated firmware can cause operational issues.
- Visit HP's website and enter your printer model to check for firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
