If you're experiencing repeated ink cartridge error messages even after replacing the cartridges, there could be an issue with either the cartridges or the printer itself. Here are steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure all ink cartridges are firmly installed in their respective slots. Follow the color and icon labels as guides.
  • Run your finger across the top of the cartridges to make sure they are properly seated.

Clean Electrical Contacts:

  • Turn the printer on and open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove each ink cartridge carefully and clean the electrical contacts.
  • Use a lint-free cloth or dry swab to clean the copper or gold-colored contacts on the cartridges and in the printer carriage.

Reinsert Cartridges:

  • Reinsert the ink cartridges in their slots, ensuring each one snaps into place securely.

Check for Cartridge Defects:

  • Inspect the ink cartridges for any signs of damage or defects.
  • If under warranty, contact HP support for a replacement.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure the printer firmware is up-to-date. Visit HP's support site to check for any available updates.
