Ink Level Check: Ensure that all ink tanks in your printer are filled to the recommended levels. Low ink levels can affect print quality and functionality.
Printhead Cleaning: Use the HP Smart app to clean the printhead. This can fix issues like streaks, incorrect colors, and faded printouts.
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click on the image of your printer to open the settings.
- Under Tools, select Print Quality Tools.
- Choose Clean Printhead.
Print Quality Diagnostic Page:
- On the printer's control panel, press and hold the Information button for five seconds.
- Then, press and hold the Color Copy button for three seconds.
- A Print Quality Diagnostic Page will print. Review the patterns to check for defects.
Manual Cleaning:
- Turn on the printer.
- Lift the ink access door and wait for the carriage to stop.
- Press the blue button on the carriage to open the printhead cover.
- Remove the printhead and clean it gently with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- Then, reinsert the printhead and close the cover.
Printhead Replacement:
