Hi @Schemmies
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Printing on 5x7 card stock with your HP Envy 7800 Photo All-in-One printer is possible, but it requires the correct setup.
Here’s how you can make it work:
1. Load the Card Stock Properly
- Adjust the paper guides in the input tray to fit the 5x7 card stock snugly.
- Ensure the card stock is flat and not curled or bent, as this can cause feeding issues.
2. Adjust Print Settings
- Open the document you want to print and go to File> Print.
- Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
- Under the Paper/Quality tab, select Card Stock or Heavy Paper as the paper type.
- Set the paper size to 5x7.
3. Use the HP Smart App
- If you’re using the HP Smart app, ensure the paper size and type are correctly set in the app before printing.
4. Check Printer Specifications
- Confirm that your card stock meets the printer’s specifications for thickness and weight. The HP Envy 7800 supports card stock, but overly thick paper may not feed properly.
5. Update Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your printer. Updated drivers can resolve compatibility issues.
6. Perform a Test Print
- Print a test page to ensure the settings are correct and the printer feeds the card stock properly.
