First off, even though the printer is refurbished, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the reason for this issue. HP certified refurbished products are tested to meet the same standards as new ones. Plus, there's usually a 90-day replacement period for refurbished products, so if it turns out to be a hardware issue, you have that safety net.

 

It sounds like you’ve already tried most of the key troubleshooting steps, but just to cover all bases, could you take a look at this official HP guide? It walks through solutions for when your printer shows as offline:

If you’ve already gone through all the steps there, let me know — we can dig deeper together. Also, the setup and icon inconsistencies you mentioned are unusual. It’s possible that the firmware might need an update, or there could be a network configuration issue that’s causing the setup options to misbehave.
