@JRT17,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Check for a Paper Jam

Even if no jam is visible:

  1. Turn off the printer & unplug it.
  2. Open the ink cartridge access door and check for any stuck paper.
  3. Also, check the rear access panel for jammed paper.
  4. If found, remove carefully and restart the printer.

Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer ON, unplug the power cord from the back.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
  4. Turn on the printer and check if the issue persists.

Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause blinking lights:

  1. Download HP Smart on your PC or mobile.
  2. Open HP Smart→ Select your printer → Look for Firmware Update.
  3. Install any available updates.

 Perform a Factory Reset

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold the Cancel (X) + Wireless (📶) buttons.
  3. Turn the printer on while holding these buttons.
  4. Release when the lights flash.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
