@juan1222,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Unplug the power cord from the printer and wall outlet.
  2. Wait for at least 5 minutes.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  4. Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (not a power strip).
  5. Turn on the printer and check if it goes past the maintenance message.

Check for a Firmware Update (If Possible)

If the printer lets you access the HP Smart app or printer settings, update the firmware:

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your PC or phone.
  2. Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Firmware Update.
  3. If an update is available, install it.
  4. Restart the printer.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

If the issue persists, try a semi-full reset:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Press and hold "Back" (⬅️) and "Cancel" () at the same time.
  3. While holding those buttons, plug the printer back in.
  4. Keep holding until you see the HP logo or reset options.
  5. Select "Reset to Factory Defaults".

Check for Hardware Issues

  • Open the printer cover and check if any paper is stuck inside.
  • Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges.
  • If you recently changed ink cartridges, try putting the old ones back in and restarting.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
