Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Officejet 4630 is completely unresponsive. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to get it working again:
1. Check the Power Source and Cable
- Ensure the power cable is properly connected to both the printer and the electrical outlet.
- Test the power outlet by plugging in another device to make sure it's supplying power.
- Inspect the power cord for any visible damage. If the cord appears damaged, you may need to replace it.
- If you’re using a power strip or surge protector, plug the printer directly into the wall outlet to rule out any issues with the power strip.
2. Power Reset
- Unplug the printer from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds to ensure any residual power is drained.
- After waiting, plug the printer back in and try turning it on.
If this doesn't work, try the following:
- Press and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds while the printer is unplugged (to discharge any leftover power).
- After releasing the button, plug the printer back in and try turning it on again.
3. Check the Printer’s Control Panel and Display
- Look for any lights or messages on the control panel that could give you a clue about the error.
- If the screen is completely blank, it's possible the printer is experiencing a hardware failure.
4. Perform a Hard Reset
- Sometimes, performing a hard reset can help to reset any internal systems that may be causing the issue.
- Unplug the printer from the power source.
- Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
- Release the power button, then plug the printer back in and try turning it on.
I hope this helps.
