I began receiving message on my HP printer telling me to check my account & that I won’t be able to

My printer screen has an alert:  to check my account (how?),  Because of this problem I won’t be able to print until the issue is resolved.  I don’t know the issue and I’ve tried multiple attempts between my HP printer and my HP laptop!
