Meanwhile you may try these steps:

 

Ensure AirPrint Defaults to Tray 2

AirPrint often defaults to Tray 1 because of its default paper type settings. You can try these steps to override that behavior:

Check AirPrint Settings on Mac:

  • When you print from a Mac, in the print dialog, ensure that Tray 2 is selected before hitting print. You may need to adjust this every time, but you can set a custom profile in your printer settings to save the tray preference.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you are using the latest version of the printer driver for your HP Color LaserJet Pro 3201. This can improve compatibility with AirPrint.
  • You can update drivers by visiting HP's official support page for your printer.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that the printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes, AirPrint issues can be resolved with the latest firmware.
  • To check for updates, go to HP Smart or HP Web Admin interface on a web browser (by typing the printer's IP address) and look for firmware updates under Settings > Printer Updates.
