Hi @Michar1954,
Thank you for your response,
To clear the Instant Ink enrollment issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-in-One Printer, you will need to remove the printer from the previous Instant Ink account and reset the printer. Here's how you can address the issue.
Steps to Resolve Instant Ink Enrollment Issue:
Contact the Previous Owner (Your Wife's Sister):
- Ask her to log in to her HP Instant Ink account and ensure the printer is completely removed from her account.
- She can do this by:
- Logging in to the HP Instant Ink portal.
- Going to the Devices section.
- Selecting the printer and removing it from her account.
Check HP Account Transfer:
- Sometimes it may take some time for the printer to disassociate from the previous Instant Ink account. Once the previous account is confirmed to be cleared, try printing again.
Factory Reset the Printer:
- Perform a factory reset to clear any settings or previous association with the old account. To factory reset the printer:
- Power off the printer.
- Press and hold the Cancel and WiFi buttons together.
- While holding them, turn on the printer.
- Release the buttons once the printer powers on and you see a reset screen.
- This will restore the printer to its default settings.
Re-Enroll in Instant Ink (If Needed):
- After resetting, you can create your own HP Instant Ink account or continue without Instant Ink. If you want to enroll in Instant Ink:
- Go to the HP Instant Ink website.
- Create an account and enroll the printer under your own name.
Use Non-Instant Ink Cartridges:
- If you don't want to use Instant Ink, you can purchase regular HP cartridges and install them. Instant Ink cartridges will not work without an active subscription.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
