Hi @CM772,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering an error message every time you try to print, even though your printer is connected to the internet, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Steps to Resolve Printing Error Message Issue:

Restart Printer:

  • Turn off your printer using the power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on again. This can sometimes clear temporary issues.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to your computer or network correctly. Verify the network connection if your printer is wireless, or ensure the USB cable is securely connected if it's a wired connection.

Restart Computer:

  • Sometimes, restarting your computer can resolve communication issues between the printer and computer.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing errors.
  • Visit the printer manufacturer's website or use their software (if available) to check for and install any updates.

Clear Print Queue (Windows):

  • If you're using a Windows computer, clear the print queue to remove any stuck print jobs:
    1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    2. Type services.msc and press Enter.
    3. In the Services window, locate and right-click on Print Spooler.
    4. Select Stop to stop the service.
    5. Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
    6. Delete all files in the PRINTERS folder.
    7. Go back to the Services window, right-click on Print Spooler, and select Start to restart the service.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Verify that the printer settings (such as paper size, orientation, etc.) are correctly configured in both the application you're printing from and the printer settings.

Test Print from Another Device:

  • If possible, try printing from another device (such as a different computer or mobile device) to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the printer or the specific computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
