I have an HP Laserjet 1020 which is also not printing in duplex (both sides). I have Windows Vista Operating System with all up to date patches, and have tried updating the printer driver and downloading the HP Print Doctor. Print Doctor indicates all is good. I get the message on the screen that when the odd pages are printed, printing will stop, and it shows how to remove the odd pages to insert into the feed bin so that the even pages can print on the unprinted side, to end up with duplex printing. Once the printer starts to print, it prints all pages at once on one side just like normal printing, with the duplex instructions remaining on the screen until the printing is finished, then the screen is back to what it was before the printing operation, with a note at the bottom of the page that the document was sent to the printer. I have left feedback on the HP Print Doctor feedback survey with this information. Awaiting your help on this. Thank you.
