Thank you for your updated response. Please follow these troubleshooting steps in order:
Please uninstall your software on the computer. I will provide a HP document on Uninstalling Software From the Control Panel. (Disconnect the USB cable from your computer.)
Next, please turn off any programs that run in the background: (This information was stated here.)
- Press the Windows key and R together. In the Run box , type msconfig , and then click OK .
- In the System Configuration window, click the option button beside Selective Startup , and then click the box next to Load start up items to remove the checkmark.
- Click the Services tab, click the Hide all Microsoft services checkbox, and then click Disable All .
- Click Apply , and then click OK .
- When prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.
Please install the full feature software now from the CD or the HP website here. Make sure you choose your correct operating system; either 32 bit or 64 bit.
Make sure you turn off any Firewalls or Anti-Virus running on your computer.
Once the installation is complete, please re-enable start up programs and services:
- Press the Windows key and R together. In the Run box , type msconfig , and then click OK .
- In the System Configuration window, click the option button beside Normal Startup .
- Click Apply , and then click OK .
- When prompted to restart the computer, click Restart .
