Try and print a hardware self test on the printer to find out if it is a hardware or
software issue. Printing a Configuration Report. Select Method one: Print a configuration report from the printer control panel under Windows or Mac.
If it printed the self test and you are using Windows then I would download and run the Print and Scan Doctor since it might resolve the issue automatically.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor?
What operating system are you using?
Here is a document to check your operating system for Windows or Mac.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
