Re: printing issues

  • The issue might be nothing more than not having selected the proper "scale" (size of print in relationship to the size of the paper).

For example, if the photo / image is quite dense (lots of pixels), then you need to make sure the size of the paper, the size of the requested print (on that paper) are compatible, particularly if you want the printed photo to fill / fit the paper.

Another possible issue:  If the size of the photo / image is compatible with the paper, but the orientation is incorrect, then the print can still be "chopped" or mis-aligned.

If the shape of the photo in its native form is not compatible with the shape of your paper, you can have issues:  photo does not fit paper, borders uneven, photo chopped.

For example, are you using your own Photo editing software, Photo Creations, Windows Photo Viewer, or ??

  • Assuming you have installed the Full Feature Software, the following might be helpful in context:

Using one of the programs provided in the document might give you an idea of the settings necessary to print the photo / image.

In particular, HP Photo Creations can remove guesswork by setting most of the parameters for you -- you choose the photo, the print size, (and perhaps other features for your print), and the program selects the proper settings for the job.
