Don't currently have access to the machine but I'll try to provide as much info as I can today.

 

We purchased new computers for one of our customers and I was doing the set up and installation. I initially tried using the "HP Color LaserJet 2600n Plug and Play Package" however it would fail during the "pre-installation" so I tried the universal drivers and that didn't work. What eventually worked was getting the driver from windows update however when I changed the driver I would get some thing along the lines of "The remote procedure call failed." and the printer properties window would crash but the driver would still change. I restarted the print spooler around this time and the test pages would print but Windows would display an error message saying that they failed to print.

 

Flash forwards to today. I tried changing some settings and could get the error message to stop but nothing would print.
